Love is in the air. The Chesapeake Shores TV show premieres on Hallmark Channel, Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 9:00pm ET/PT. The new drama series is based on the Sherryl Woods novels of the same name.

Please be advised that Hallmark Channel’s newest original primetime series ‘CHESAPEAKE SHORES’ will premiere on Sunday, August 14 (9pm ET/PT, 8C). Based on the novels of the same name by New York Times bestselling author Sherryl Woods, the series stars Jesse Metcalfe (“Dallas“), Meghan Ory (“Once Upon A Time“), Golden Globe(R) nominee Treat Williams (“Everwood,” “Hair”) and Academy Award(R) nominee Diane Ladd (“Wild At Heart”).
The multi-generational family drama follows Abby O’Brien (Ory), a high-powered career woman, divorcee and mother to twin daughters, who makes a trip from New York City to her hometown of Chesapeake Shores. Her visit home brings Abby face to face with her past, including her high school sweetheart Trace (Metcalfe), her uncompromising father Mick (Williams) and her esteemed grandmother Nell (Ladd). Abby realizes the toll her career has taken on her ability to be a hands-on mother to her daughters, and considers a permanent move to Chesapeake Shores.

Seriously, the season finally after only 7 episodes? what a bummer. just when you get into it, the “season”. Is over.
I was really upset last night about a season finale so soon on this new show, I love it…it gives a good feeling…….love Dianne Ladd, and the rest of the cast are awsome too……….hoping it will renew…but we’ll have to wait a year???????UHGGGGGGG!!!!!
It looks good but I dont want to get hooked on it just to have it cancelled like Cedar Cove. That show was starting to really hit its stride. The fact that Hallmark cancels its top rated show makes me wonder how long this one will last.
I loved watching Cedar Cove and was disappointed to see it canceled. Trying to catch on your Chesapeake Shores but having a hard time. Some of the acting isn’t that great and every character seems to be hiding something. How close can a family be if there are so many secrets that no one will tell anyone? Grandma’s accent seems to be hard for Diane Ladd at times. I realize that this was the way the books were written but it’s not coming thru as authentic. Scenery is beautiful tho and hope that the show gets better.

I don’t have the Hallmark Channel but Global Edmonton has shown episodes Saturday, Sept. 17 & Sunday Sept. 18 which I have thoroughly enjoyed. Pleasee, if possible, I would like to see all the future episodes. Thank you
I love watching Chesapeake Shores and The Good Witch. They are good for the soul. Where are they filmed?
Definitely my favorite & have no doubt will remain so once the new shows air. “A Country Wedding” was my first encounter with Jesse Metcalfe, who since has risen to #1.
I am an avid fan of Hallmark movies but REALLY can’t you please use beautiful FRESH flowers. They are much too obvious not without saying unrealistic!!!

I watched this new series, and love it. I have read all of the books in the series and Hallmark has stayed true to the books. Cedar Cove changed everything in the series. Families made no sense and the casting was horrific. In Chesapeake Shores, the story is being told the way Sheryll Woods wanted it. Who cares if they don’t eat fresh crab. The story is about a broken family and their journey to resculpt their lives together. Casting follows the author’s descriptions wonderfully, and if you naysayers would give the story a chance to develop you could understand… Read more »
Like the cast of CS, but my word this is a slow moving show. Normally the first few segments should catch your attention enough to make you continue watching. This is boring at best. I realize they are attempting to build it up but please let’s move on. I will keep watching, but I doubt it will be a long runner.
