A network that has plenty of cop and legal TV shows, CBS hasn’t had a successful medical drama in quite awhile. Will Code Black become a ratings success or a flop? Cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
Code Black takes place in an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressures on its staff. The cast includes Marcia Gay Harden, Raza Jaffrey, Bonnie Somerville, Melanie Chandra, William Allen Young, Harry Ford, Benjamin Hollingsworth, and Luis Guzman.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
2/24 update: Now that the season’s wrapping up, should Code Black return for a second season?
2/25 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated charts, please try reloading the page. You can also see them here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

Absolutely love Code Black!!! Renew please!!!
I want to say I love this, show and can’t wait for season 2 to come out
This is the UK saying we love this show so much keep it up
I was late to get started on Code Black, but can I just say, “WOW”. This show it so true to a trauma ER, I love the heart pounding adrenaline feeling I get while watching. Unlike many other medical shows, this is so close to real life. The cast is amazing. I love the intensity, the heart break and the morbid humor at this. This is a show with great potential. I can’t wait for season 2.
Code should be renewed now it is a real good show and better then them reality shows like big brother, amazing race and the others
Loving Code Black flipping awesome show, touches you emotionally and a more realistic view of a trauma unit than Grey’s
I thought code black was very good and would like to see it renewed.
After watching more than ten episodes of ” Code Black” I really think this series should have a season two. The writers of this series and the cast earned it.
I love the show with great actors and great stories. Please don’t cancel.
I thought something was wrong; I kept looking for the show and found nothing. The show is so real to my wife and I that on that time slot we would tune in to nothing for weeks and we would channel surf looking for it like two drama seekers man this is such a great show please bring it back.
This is a great medical series. It has success written all over it. Chicago Med had so many copy cat episodes because it showed leadership in this area.. It is full of great characters. The stories are relevant and very realistic. I certainly hope it is not cancelled. My husband and 23 year old son both enjoy it. It has appeal for all age groups. We don’t need more comedies but shows that have grit and can be a leader in medical shows.
