TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?

OMG!!! Not Code Black! Another great show is cancelled! I am sick and tired of these great shows being cancelled, just to be replaced with some stupid reality TV show!
Don’t cancel Code Black! One of the only good network shows to come along in years. The networks screw with scheduling and then cancel when ratings are low but it’s because no one knows when or if the show will air. When will Hollywood get wise to what the people want!
This is one of my favorite shows! It’s interesting, intelligent, and has a lot of heart. It should be UNcanceled ASAP!
Dumb asses always cancel the good shows and keep the suck ones on.
This is such a good show-cant believe they are not keeping it.
I can’t believe that their cancelling code black. Total idiots. Makes me mad when they renew crap tv shows but quality gets canned. What a joke hopefully it will get picked up by another network for another season if not their all idiots. Best hospital show ever
jerks, a**hole cause they canceled a GREAT show
This is a fabulous show. None like it on the air thus far. please do not take this show off the air. My husband and I watch it faithfully.
One of the best medical shows ever…I am so tired of reality shows and shows that do not make you think. This one, amongst several others that have been cancelled, keep you thinking, entertain you at the same time…KEEP THIS SHOW!
PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL
I would like to see Code Black renewed. It’s interesting to watch. We like the stories presented each week. I don’t know why they cancel the good shows and let the not so good ones stay. Thank you
I really like CodeBlack. I never miss it. The actors are wonderful. It is a real piece of life in an extremely busy emergency room.
Sadly,, CBS put Code Black on at the end of the season. One of the best shows on the air. Portrays the ER with a sense of reality. We continue to be offered programs aimed at the dumbing down of our country. They say that the average American reads at the level of a 4th grader and today’s programs and commercials reflect that insult to viewers.
One of the best shows on tv
Please do not cancel!!
