TNT Renews Real-Life Crime Series Cold Justice for Third Season
Show Finds Strong Fan Base on Friday Nights, with Big Audience Growth
TNT is ready to crack more unsolved cases as it orders a third season of its fascinating real-life crime series Cold Justice. The series, which recently reached the middle of its second season, has become a Friday night hit for TNT, delivering strong demo growth compared to season one. TNT’s renewal includes 10 episodes slated for the series’ third season. Season 2 of Cold Justice is currently airing Fridays at 9 p.m. (ET/PT). Season three is slated for early 2015 and will feature both new states and types of cases never seen on the show before.
Cold Justice follows former prosecutor Kelly Siegler and former crime-scene investigator Yolanda McClary as they travel to small towns around the country in order to look into murder cases that have lingered for years without answers or closure. Since the premiere of Cold Justice last September, Siegler and McClary have assisted local law enforcement in securing a total of 15 arrests, eight criminal indictments, four confessions, two guilty pleas and a 22-year prison sentence.
Cold Justice has averaged 2.3 million viewers in Live + 7 delivery so far this summer, a remarkable +24% increase over the show’s winter episodes. In key demos, Cold Justice is averaging 912,000 adults 25-54 (+12% vs. winter) and 676,000 adults 18-49. The show has found a solid fan base in its Friday night timeslot, growing its Live + Same Day demo deliveries by +13% among adults 18-49 and +4% among adults 25-54, compared to season one.
Cold Justice is produced for TNT by Wolf Reality and Magical Elves, with Emmy® winners Dick Wolf (Law & Order, Chicago Fire), Dan Cutforth & Jane Lipsitz (Top Chef, Time of Death) and Tom Thayer (Hitchcock, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee), serving as executive producers.
What do you think? Have you been watching this show? Glad it’s coming back?
Feb 6, 2008 Judith Petty disappeared in Parkersburg WV. Her remains were found Feb 10,2008 in the ruins of a burned building on the family farm. The family certainly needs closure. Thank you for any attention you can give to this case.
One of the best shows on the air. keep it going.
I love this show! I don’t miss an episode. I wish I knew how to get in touch with the producers. I know of a case that was never solved in Oklahoma.
I absolutely LOVE Cold Justice!I have on my DVR and never miss a show. Its amazing to watch them work out the cold cases. I am very happy it is going to still be on.
I am from Albuquerque, New Mexico and we have an unsolved murder mystery here. I have a recent news article that I would love to send you for your consideration. Six years ago, the graves of 11 women were discovered on our West Mesa and to date, not one of the murders have been solved. They appear to have been committed by the same person but this has never been solved.

This is Law and Order and Criminal minds all rolled into one, only it is real. We lookk forward to future seasons to come. Its great to watch them work out the details and the crime step by step and the way the read people. Love love love the team they make.
LOVE THIS SHOW. My husband and I watch it every week. If we know we will be late we have it set to record on our DVR..
This unscripted show is so different and fresh. It makes me feel good to know that top notch people are looking into cold cases involving real people that lived in small towns. I hope it is on for years to come.
Love this show!!! Watch it whenever on!!!
I love this show! Of course it’s awesome to see the cold cases solved and see how intelligent and down to earth these two women are as they go about their business. But I like most how loving they are to the victims’ families. And it’s a unique perspective compared to other crime solving shows. You get to see what evidence it takes to bring a case to trial. Really good show!
Love Kelly and Yolanda and they have the best people assisting. And it is obvious they care and love what they do.
Great show. I hope the run more.
We really like Cold Justice. Kelly and Yolanda are excellent – not only competent in their given roles, but also very compassionate with the victims’ families.
Kelly and Yolanda are great! I have tremendous respect for both and the work they do. I have seen every episode and look forward to many more.
I know Kelly was a prosecutor in my home town, Bay City and Yolanda has the hit series based on her work in Las Vegas!! They can ‘swoop’ into towns and solve cold cases anytime if you ask me! What a te!
