After two seasons on the air, TNT has cancelled Dark Blue. No season three for Carter Shaw and his LAPD team.
Dark Blue stars Dylan McDermott as the leader of an undercover unit whose members are so covert that some of the members of the department don’t even know they’re involved. The rest of the cast includes Omari Hardwick, Logan Marshall-Green, Nicki Aycox, and Tricia Helfer.
The cancellation of the cop drama doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Despite a decline in ratings, the series was renewed for a second season last December. The second round of 10 episodes began airing in August and the numbers were worse than they’d been in year one.
Season two averaged a 0.6 rating in the key 18-49 demographic and 2.25 million total viewers. Those figures make the series the worst performer of TNT’s summer season and ripe for cancellation.
Dark Blue ended its run with two episodes on September 15th.

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo upset. I want it back!!!! I want it back!!!!! Tears are falling from my eyes. I love it!!!! better than I love MCDONALDS french fries. Naw, serious I loved the drama and those sexy ass team. If there is away to bring it back pleeeeasssssseeeeee bring it back.
Im upset to hear that one of my favorite shows is not airing again. I have been looking foward to watching the next season. Im sure that it will be great if it ever has a chance to be aired again!

I really enjoyed the show and the cast. I watched every episode. I believe the show took a turn for the worse when in Season 2 the female “love interest” cop for Dylan McDermitt’s character was introduced. It took away from Dylan’s toughness/no nonsense and made him softer. Season 1 was great and should’ve have been left the same without any additional cast.
seriously!?!? i’ve been waiting all summer for it to come back… you would think they would see all the people that posted the same comment – “I waited all summer and finally went looking only to find this”. was it gritty? yes – but i imagine undercover work in LA is as well….
This was a great show!! On the edge of my seat kind of show! I see where a couple of the changes made in season 2 might have jeapordized the ratings, but could easily been changed if given another chance!! I really HATE when the writers or whoever leave us hanging…at least write a 2 hour conclusion or something for viewers to have closer.

OMG!!! I loved this show you can’t take it away! It was my favorite show on this channel actually it was the only show I watched on your channel. Very disappointed. 🙁
All I have to say is that I am highly upset that this show is cancelled!! It was a GREAT show and you guys SUCK, for cancelling it!!!! And so you know, Dark Blue is the only show that kept me coming back to your channel!! VEry very upset!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve been waiting on this show to air for months, and just decided to look into it.
And having found out it has been cancel really has me upset. I loved that show
and watched it faithfully every week. This is” GARBAGE” the stuff they keep on these
days for them just to pull the trigger on Dark Blue is mess up. BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!

I STOPPED watching before it was cancelled because of sexual content and language. However, I loved the show when it first aired. The plot required an attentive viewer… One who followed the fast moving plot very carefully. Too bad the writers resorted to poor taste in content.
lol, thats the dumbest thing i’ve ever heard. You might as well not watch any tv shows. Even glee has sexual content. This was obviously not a show for children so get over yourself

I too am upset with Dark Blue being cancelled, I loved that show…big mistake, be nice if another network picked it up and really gave it a chance.
So like so many of you guys I’m really upset thatthe show is cancelled and I watched EVERY show and I’m mad that its cancelled but I guess we can do anything now but I do agree if the marketed it more then they would have had more views but the market what they want because they want you to watch what they thinks is a good show I don’t watch glee and I see that on every channel and now that have a reality show trying to get new ppl on glee come on now
