As fans may already know, CBS has pulled the Doubt TV show from their schedule after only two episodes, making the show effectively cancelled. What do you think? Did the network end the series too soon?
The legal drama stars Katherine Heigl as Sadie Ellis, an ambitious attorney who falls for one of her clients, a pediatric surgeon accused of murdering his girlfriend. The cast also includes Steven Pasquale, Dulé Hill, Laverne Cox, Elliot Gould, and Dreama Walker.
Doubt premiered on February 15th to a lackluster 0.76 rating in the 18-49 demo and 5.31 million viewers — very low numbers for a CBS show. The series’ second episode dropped even further in the ratings, bringing in a 0.55 rating in the 18-49 demo and 4.03 million viewers.
CBS initially ordered 13 episodes of Doubt, which were all reportedly filmed. It remains uncertain when the remaining episodes will air, if they ever will.
What do you think? Have you seen Doubt? Was this CBS TV series cancelled too prematurely? Should the network have given it more time or, were they justified in pulling it after two very low-rated episodes?
Really enjoyed this show!!! Not too many good ones on anymore!!
Definitely canceled too soon! I really enjoy Doubt! I love the characters and the story line. Every time I like a show the network pulls the plug. Please show the remaining episodes since it has already been taped.
My husband and I think that CBS canceled doult to quick, we think it’s a really good show
I just found doubt and loved it Two episodes is hardly e ought time for people to find the show!!
I wish they would at least put the other episodes they have already filmed on On Demand. Wouldn’t that help them find a audience base. It was a pretty good show.
They didn’t give this a chance. We recorded the first episode but forgot to set up the series to record And watched the second episode on demand. We really liked it! Can it at least be aired online?????
CBS is just arrogant…They are the only ones who charge to watch episodes we have already paid once to see if you pay a cable bill. This was a great show, the only show I’m watching on CBS!!! People do not have time to watch this in real time, I don’t know if they count people who DVR the show, they should!! I only have 10 shows I have to watch weekly, well I guess only 9 now?!? ” The Good Fight,” is awesome too and yet only shown on all access, so I guess I won’t be caring about… Read more »
I definitely think that CBS cancelled it too soon. The cast was good, the storylines kept us interested and I really wanted to see how Sadie would get the doctor acquitted. My husband even liked it and that’s saying a lot. I hope they air the other episodes they have already made.
Another failed series for Katherine Heigl. Doubt was so terrible and it truly deserves to get cancelled for only 2 episodes.
Doubt: Cancelled Too Quickly by CBS? NO! should never have aired in the first place
I thought it looked like it’s be a good show, they didn’t even give it a chance. Most people don’t know a shows on for a week or so and def don’t have time to get into the show in two episodes, it’s ridiculous. It pisses me off how channels have started doing that more frequently. I feel like it makes people not even want to watch the first episodes of a show our of fear it’ll be pulled or cancelled that soon. I don’t understand how they cancel all these good shows but then the dumbass reality shows and… Read more »
Apparently, I’m the only one, who thought this show, was like so many others, on American TV networks. I won’t miss it. Give me shows like Rectify, Longmire, Ripper Street, Call the Midwife. Something with some deep, flawed characters, and story line, that grips you. There is quality, and there is chewing gum for the eyes.
I thought this was a quality show. If anyone is to put fault on the low numbers for the two episodes it is the network. It was not promoted enough. I happened to stumble upon the show when I was checking to see if there were any new episodes of Madam Secretary.
I can’t believe they cancelled this show!!! I really enjoyed this show. CBS never gave it a chance. It had a great cast and each week I looked forward to the next. I searched the TV menu this week when it wasn’t on in the same time slot. I was so disappointed!
I really enjoyed the show, if the rest of the season was shot please air it. I loved the tempo of the show and the characters.
