Gilmore Girls is entering the Emmy race. Variety reports the Netflix revival series Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life will compete in the limited series category for this year’s Emmy nominations.
A follow-up to the original WB/CW dramedy, the revival reunited several of the show’s cast members, including Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop, Scott Patterson, Keiko Agena, Sean Gunn, Matt Czuchry, Milo Ventimiglia, and Yanic Truesdale, for four 90-minute episodes.
As part of the limited series category, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life will be competing against shows like HBO’s Big Little Lies, FX’s Feud, and ABC’s American Crime. But does the limited series mean that’s it for Gilmore Girls? No more seasons?
That seems up in the air. Earlier, Lauren Graham said she doesn’t see a need for more episodes and Alexis Bledel isn’t sure if she’d do another Netflix revival.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Gilmore Girls? Do you want another revival?
we need another episode of the gilmore girls.. i need more im soo intrigue in it. especally that it ended with “im pregnant” like theirs a lot of suspense in it we need more
Yeah, good luck with those emmys. This revival was a hackjob, poorly written, poorly exectuted, stale, ill-conceived and about as emmy worthy as Fuller House. I honestly don’t care either way if they make more, though, because I went from mega uber GG fangirl to permanently turned off by about 10 minutes in.
This revival failed in the waiting room and didn’t even get into the ER. I watched about twenty minutes of the first episode and that was about 15 minutes too long. If I wanted a tour of the town with cameo shots of former show characters, I might have watched a few minutes more. What a dull revival! They could have stand-ins to greater effect.
Yes I would like to see another revival of the show.
