CBS is throwing in the towel on the Life in Pieces TV show. The network has cancelled the show so there won’t be a fifth season.
A dramedy, Life In Pieces stars Dianne Wiest, James Brolin, Zoe Lister-Jones, Colin Hanks, Angelique Cabral, Thomas Sadoski, Betsy Brandt, Dan Bakkedahl, Niall Cunningham, Holly J. Barrett, Giselle Eisenberg, and Hunter King. The series follows four branches of the Short family tree. Although they’re a big happy clan, that doesn’t mean there are no awkward moments amidst their funny and moving milestones. Each episode unfolds as four short stories which, when woven together, tell one story about this thing called life.
The fourth season of Life in Pieces is averaging a 0.84 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.75 million viewers. Compared to season three, that’s down by 24% and 11%, respectively. Five episodes of the 13 installment season have aired thus far.
Out of the 26 scripted CBS TV shows of the 2018-19 season, Life in Pieces is in 13th place in the demo and 16th place in total viewership.

CBS again with the cancelling of shows above a 7th grade intelligence level. Hopefully Netflix or Hulu will pick it up. This is 1 of the funniest shows currently on TV.
Love “Live in Pieces” please renew for season 5. This ensemble cast is so perfect. I can’t believe it is being cancelled. There is a short supply of really decent sitcoms and this is certainly one of them.
Seriously! You guys cancel the best shows and we are left with only drama, this is one of your funniest shows. I really hope some other network picks it up!
I am crushed by this news!! I will not watch CBS for a while because of this. I have never ever commented on this or called a network before loosing the best show on TV. Another network could pick up a lot of loyal followers if they grabbed this gem!
Jason I agree 100% this show was absolutely hilarious! Why would they get rid of it? Get rid of some of the lame reality shows instead!

I’m so sick of finding a show I Love and it being cancelled. .let me tell these people why… we use to have 5 channels to watch, remember Married with Children, they always wanted to take it off, see what they know.. now we have too many channels and Netflix etc.. you put show on, we get 12 shows and go off for season…it’s off for so long people forget it was on..for goodness sake give stuff some time..I’ve talked about a great show at work, most never heard of it… Again there are so many channels and shows GIVE… Read more »
CBS completely botched the funniest show they have in their lineup. They waited until April to start season 4, instead of in the fall last year. They barely promoted it, so people would know it was coming back on and hadn’t been cancelled, yet. They would rather keep The neighbors and Man with a plan? Those shows are ok, but they certainly don’t compete with the laughs you get from watching LIP! I am so mad right now. I can’t believe CBS would cancel such a fantastic show. Do they even care about the quality of the product? This is by far my wife and my favorite show. I really hope Netflix or someone comes along and picks it up and it has lots of success with it. CBS screwed the whole thing over not promoting it and starting it halfway through the season without even getting the word out. I dont get CBS. It made a .84 and drew 5.58 million viewers in the 18-49 demographic. But Bull drew a .75 and had a 6.5 million viewers. Shouldnt life in pieces have over 7 million viewers. I think CBS just wants to get rid of a very funny show. How lame.
Hey, CBS, maybe if you actually AIRED the show the ratings would be better. You keep dreck like Bull, but cancel LIP. I hope another network pics it up & gives it the attention it deserves!
Nooooooo!!!!! Why do all the TV sitcoms that are good, clean and hilarious never stay? This show makes me literally laugh out loud! People are tired of all the reality and voting TV shows that flood our households. Big named actors/actresses deserve to stay on TV. Don’t take this show away from us. I just now discovered it (crying)
