TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Hopefully another great network will pick up this excellent show that is called Longmire, that just happens to have millions of people willing to follow wherever they go.
This great show got cancelled partly because people a little older watch it?I read this and thought this was ridiculous. All ages watch this show.Last time I checked A&E, older people tend to buy the dvd’s when they come out.Longmire deserves a great network that wants a great show without trying to insult older adults.
Dumb idea!!! You have a show that is watched by so many people and gets great ratings. Why would you cancel this show? I hope it goes to another network and they get such good ratings and you feel really stupid for getting rid of Longmire!!!!!
Longmire is one of the best shows in the last ten years. My wife and I never miss it..Some network should put it and Hell on Wheels on the same night . Now that would be a good night of television!
I and my husband have been watching LONGMIRE since the first season the show is the BEST show made in a long time GREAT story line,,, we agree with the comment what were they thinking,,, and did they take take a stupid pill or what,,, WE will not be watching A&E any longer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and really HOPE someone will show LONGMIRE on their channel.
<<<<<<<<<<<<< YOU MESSED UP BIG TIME<<<<<<<<<<
keep it at least let them have an ending to the story.
maybe usa could pick it up they have on others and they were very successful
I can’t believe this show is cancelled. Acting is great and the story lines. No, it should not be cancelled and it makes me very upset.
PLEASE BRING LONGMIRE BACK! What are you thinking A&E? It is your best show. Someone needs to be fired there for gross ignorance.
Best show in a long time. This is usually what happens when you get a great show and great characters….then its cancel time. It needs to be brought back.
Which boneheads at A&E decided to cancel Longmire. Did they get together and collectively take a “please make me stupid” pill or what?
If there is no more Longmire for me to watch on A&E then there is no more A&E for me to ever watch again!
Not a real smart move to cancel Longmire , the writing and acting by all were excellent! I hope another network picks up the series ,they all deserve it. A&E made a huge mistake, what are they thinking? Longmire was heads and shoulders over the other trash on TV. I will not be watching A&E.
I can’t believe this makes me angry
Good Grief, what’s up here, everyone I talk to loves this show. I don’t believe the ratings could have been that bad. It has to be something else…. don’t do something stupid, put the show back on before you lose a good thing….
I really enjoyed Longmire and hope it comes for another season.
HEY! AMC, do yourselves and legions of loyal Longmire fans a favor and pick up Longmire…You already have the brains to carry The Walking Dead which I’m sure has licensing issues filming on location in Georgia. Quality writing, acting and family oriented material addressing righting wrongs, and doing it with honesty and integrity like Robert Taylor does with his Walt Longmire character shouldn’t be allowed to disappear from television all together.
