TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Just saw Robert Taylor in a video on Facebook and he says that we haven’t seem the last of Longmire. He said fans need to keep tweeting and emailing A& E.
I love Longmire and really hope you renew it!
should not be cancelled. one of the few shows that is well written well acted and truly entertaining. my only complaint is that the seasons feel too short as the story lines build from each other and the wait for the next season, too long.
Couldn’t believe they are cancelling a show like Longmire. Great show that the whole family can watch. How do they know about certain age group watching when most young adults live with family so of course won’t register on ratings . Very sad to hear of A AND E total disregard for yet another great show. Losing all these good shows will only hurt the channel. Hope you find a new and better home Longmire!
One of the few shows that I enjoy watching and now it is cancelled???? I can only hope that another network will pick this series up and leave A & E in the dust.
It stands to reason that a TV show tat has an appeal for 30’s and up would be cancelled.
Good viewing does not appeal to the networks I think if they would put the young entertainers in it things would change. Good plots and cast but I guess trash is better for the viewing audience. I can count on PBS and other shows since I can’t count on seeing Longmire anymore.
I love Longmire. It is one of the few TV programs that does not show people having sex. I am not an old prude complaining about sex, I just do not want to watch it happening. The characters make you think of real people, not made up perfect Barbie and Kens. Hope it is never canceled
Our favorite! We don’t like to many of the same shows. We hope another network will pick it up. One of the best on T.V.. Please bring it back. Longmire was always exciting. We couldn’t wait for the next episode. Maybe the network needed to promote it more. Maybe another time slot would of helped.
Should NOT be cancelled. Most watched show in A&E history and it’s not coming back! CRAZY!!!!
Missed a few episodes, , soI just binge watched the whole series. It needs to be renewed. Plain and simple
Longmire will not be cancelled, So let it be written, So let it be done.
Longmire will not be cancelled, Make it so.
I have never written regarding a TV show. I love the show, look forward to it every week.
All the characters appear as family on the screen. A modern western is refreshing to see.
The story line is very well written and portrayed.
Every good show on tv is cancelled. Longmire was one of the best! Author Craig Johnson’s character gave us hope that not all lawmen are corrupt. A & E has made a big mistake! Bring it back!!!
Can’t believe you cancelled the show without a ending really bring it back for a conclusion
They should keep it, this is very disappointing my wife and I enjoyed the show. This is not the first time A&E cancelled a good show after 2 or 3 very short seasons. At the least they could do is have final show that answers all the questions they left un answered in the last show. I am getting tired of this kind of non sense from A&E I am tired of the doing this not watching A & E anymore.
