TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
please don’t cancel Longmire – my husband & I love the show. one of the best on tv. I agree cancel some reality show. Thanks!!
Please bring it back!!!!!!!!
GREAT SHOW. DON’T cancel it!
GREAT SHOW, want to see more
Really. a&E has lost their minds. That was one of the two shows I watched on the station. Guess they are not interested in the real viewers. Get rid if the ridiculous Reality shows. Guess I can cancel more cable channels since I will not be watching that channel.
please don’t cancel Longmire its the best show on t.v. !
I really enjoyed Longmire and am hopeful that another cable network will picked up A&E’s number one rated show! I guess they are more into the bottom line profits of reality shows than a great drama!
The best show that’s been on for a very long time.
What a great show!
Never used to watch till my wife was watching a missed episode on a first season marathon on a Saturday afternoon. I was hooked.
There is not much worth watching on T.V. anymore but Longmire has my attention.
Don’t leave us fans hanging from the last episode.
I can’t believe you are cancelling Longmire. It is one of the best shows to come along in a long time. Everyone I know is devastated by this news. Why don’t you cancel some of the Duck Dynasty crap that you have on numerous times!
Longmire is a solid’, well watched show. It was stated it was the most watched show on A&E in the channels history, so why cancel it? They will probably put on another stupid reality show. Guess my A&E w watching days are over!
Please don’t cancel Longmire. The best show that’s been on for a very long time. Instead cancel some of the reality shows that don’t mean a thing.
I am heartbroken! This was a great family show. I would text my grown kids about whatever was going on in the show. Please bring it back!
Why do the great shows get canceled all the time ?? I am sick of it!! Bring Longmire back this very instant !!!
Everyone stop watching A&E. Maybe when these stupid people that MADE THIS STUPID DECISION. realizes what they have done by losing viewers, they will wake up… Don’t tell me they can’t find one hour a week for this great show. I love criminal minds show, but they play the same shows over and over. They can find room for that, but not Longmire. don’t believe it. What really makes me mad is they don’t have the nerve to explain why they are doing it. They really care about their viewers. HA HA.
PLEASE DON’T WATCH LONGMIRE.
I can’t believe you cancelled Longmire, was it a brain fart or just stupidly that lead to the cancellation!!!! We finally find a great show that kids could watch with no cussing and no reality crap, I looked forward every year for the season opener, I’d understand if the show wasn’t any good but I just don’t get it.
You can’t end Longmire the way it was left. Can’t believe you cancelled the series. At least one more season and end it right!!!!! Love this show
