TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
My husband and I have been watching Longmire since it started, and we were very disappointed to know that it has been cancelled. We live in a small Wyoming town just 30 minutes from the town they used to create Durante. It was very exciting to know that we had a TV series that was so close to home. I think Longmire did everything it was supposed to do for television, and I think A & E probably made some pretty good profits from it. If A & E is not going to carry Longmire anymore, I truly hope another… Read more »
Please Keep!
Please bring back Longmire…it was one of the best tv shows around!
A&E you suck! I will NEVER watch another series on your network. After you cancelled “The Glades” and left us hanging, I didn’t think that would ever happen again. Now you’ve done it again. What’s the use in watching a show and having a season ending on a cliff hanger and then you cancel the show. You are idiots!!!
Please please renew the series.
Not only does longmire mix the old world western with modern day mystery, the dialogue the Native American themes expose people to something that’s often missing in today’s shows-Content, character, thought provoking stories that keep you wanting more. A&E is ridiculous! If your want mindless waiste like “honey boo boo” or some other overdone reality show go ahead and cancel but for once can we have a network that offers good tv!
A&E this isn’t the first time, I’m done with you!
Longmire is well written, well acted, well edited, — it’s a good show! Give it back to us. I have looked forward to its return in the past and I’d like to look forward to its return again and again.
Longmire is one of the best or better shows on! Someone with brains return it for Season 4! You guys in the programming and networks are all a bunch of pea-brains.
I hope AmaZon, or Netflix buys it and produces this series – you missed the boat.
Nothing good remains on cable stations as well as networks.
Leave the show on, I love it. Please give it a 4th season. Surprise us.
Loved the show. good stories, good actors, good scenery. Did the father shoot Branch or not???????
Well this is another good show that has been canceled . My husband and I have watched Longmire from the start one of the few interesting tv shows on. What is it being replaced with more reality tv programing that is garbage.
Please renew. Very good show.
