TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Longmire – one of the best. I fully agree with the others – A&E needs Long mire or it looses a world of viewers. Keep it going!!!!!
Absolutely loved the show. Bad move from A&E… Hope that some company picks it up as it is creme de la creme among the shows these days. (That reality-s&%t or some detective-thingy which are all alike…)
Absolutely one of the best shows ever. Gritty, exiting and… watchable. Compared to all other s&%t that is on these days. Hope Longmire continues.
A & E you are making a BG mistake. This is one of only a very few shows worth watching on TV today. All the good series are being replaced by reality shows which are totally stupid. We don’t need any more of these type of shows. I am pleading to not cancel this great show. What will it take to get you to keep this show on????
Longmire should DEFINITELY return! It is one of the best quality shows on any network.
Please keep Longmire on the air. It’s the best show on TV!
I loved Longmire. One of the few enjoyable programs. I hope A&E reconsiders the cancellation.
This is just one of only a few shows I actually watch and really look forward to seeing. I guess there wasn’t enough sex and violence for A&E. Pray Netflix picks it up.
Longmire was my favorite show on TV- by far the best show on A&E. I have my fill of stupid tattoo shows and the other crap that is on TV anymore. This is a show that I could watch with my Grandson and he could learn about right and wrong- and integrity, something that is lacking in 99% of the TV shows on there air now. A&E, you blew it!!
Please bring back Longmire!
If A&E drops Longmire, they will lose the best possible show being aired. Another channel must MUST pick up this series. Read all of Craig Johnson’s Longmire series and couldn’t put them down. Wish it was a 30 week show.
I cannot believe this show has been cancelled. That was a DUMB move. It is a wonderful show. Someone needs to rethink this decision and get it back on the air. If A&E doesn’t want it I am sure there are other smarter networks that will pick it up. Someone out there will show some intelligence and grab this awesome show!
I’m extremely disappointed at the cancellation of Longmire. What a sad situation! The show was really well written, great actors and I looked forward to every episode. A&E certainly made a mistake cancelling this show. I hope some other network picks it up.
Please renew Longmire, it is one of the best shows on television, good actors, good stories and great scenery. How could anyone in their right mind cancel such a great show? The reality “junk” presently airing on television makes me want to hurl! But afterall, great minds like those in show biz know what the public wants – quality shows like “Honey Boo Boo”, “Kardasian trash” and “Big Smo”. NOT!!!!!!!!
A&E…..done….no more. Bring it back!
