What’s This TV Show About?
A CBS TV series revival, Murphy Brown stars original cast members Candice Bergen, Grant Shaud, Faith Ford, and Joe Regalbuto, alongside Nik Dodani, Jake McDorman, Adan Rocha, and Tyne Daly. Amidst daily attacks on the press, Murphy Brown (Bergen) decides to forsake retirement for a new CNC morning show, Murphy in the Morning. She reunites the old FYI gang, Corky Sherwood (Ford), Frank Fontana (Regalbuto), and Miles Silverberg (Shaud) for her new endeavor, as well as social media director Pat Patel (Dodani). She’s determined to prioritize solid reporting over sensationalism. The team members still decompress at Phil’s bar, which is now run by his sister, Phyllis (Daly), with help from college student, Miguel (Rocha), a “Dreamer” from Mexico. Meanwhile, Murphy’s son, Avery (McDorman), is all grown up and following (perhaps, a bit too closely) in mom’s footsteps.

PLEASE bring back MURPHY BROWN! After a hard day of work, this was the one show I looked forward to watch. The writing is superb and witty. It is classic comedy, with seasoned actors, who know how to act and deliver lines. It is the best written show in a long time. Please give this show another chance, it will survive. I look forward to seeing the best actors around in another season of MURPHY BROWN. Please bring it back. We need a show like this on the air.

This is very disappointing news; I love this show! I guess I should have expected it since about 40% of the shows I watched regularly in the past 3 years have been cancelled. A few of my favorites that come to mind: Outsiders (the best of the best!), Designated Survivor, Lucifer, The Young Pope, People of Earth, Timeless, and now Murphy Brown. My other favorites are The Rookie, and Grace & Frankie, so they are probably going to be next in line for the axe. … I really wish the networks would keep shows around longer, and not eliminate them… Read more »

Please renew !!! It’s the one show my husband really laughs at. All the other shows he watches are cod and robbers or murder investigations. A little 1/2 levity is great !!!!
Murphy Brown has always been a favorite show in our house. We were so thrilled and felt like it never had gone away. Please give us more shows of Murphy and the gang. Honest, safe for young audience to watch and clean language.

I hate to say this but I have not enjoyed this revival of Murphy Brown. I just do not find it funny or engaging story lines.

I love this show because we still have the freedom to speak and make decisions without fear here in America. I know the probable background noise about how this stacks up against our political arena right now . I believe a lot of us are viewing in because we need a voice comedic or not to openly show we are able to stay steady with all views here in this nation.
