Nashville will air an all-new episode on ABC later tonight, but fans know the end is near. The network cancelled the series last week, but there is still hope. With the people behind the series actively looking for a new home, it is possible that the series could return for a fifth season.
However, Connie Britton has already shared a message with her fans about the cancellation of the series on social media. She shared the following message after the news broke, according to TV Line:
“To the amazing friends and family who are Nashville, to the cast and crew, and most of all to the fans…I’d just like to say it’s been my honor to be a part of this world, to live in it and breathe it in and try to replicate it. Sometimes we were more successful than others. But the place of Nashville in my heart is deep and permanent. I am grateful for the hard work and faith of so many who dedicated themselves to creating and supporting this show. And I am forever changed for the better. Thanks for the music.”
According to TV Guide, the actress also spoke about the cancellation of the series on a talk show appearance earlier this week. Nashville has been a big part of her life. She has raised her adopted son there since 2011. She said the following:
“I’ll talk to my Nashville friends, and they’re all devastated. It’s a real bummer also for the town too. I’m going to miss those people so much. I’m so upset, then I talk to my friends in L.A., and they’re like, ‘We’re so happy you’re coming home.’ So I’m just like, I don’t know what I feel! [My son is] 5, and we’ve been doing the show there for four years, so it’s a big deal. It’s over. The end of an era. I think he’s going to just ditch me now because he’s like, ‘I’m staying in Nashville now. These people are cool. I’m learning how to play the drums. See you later.'”
The finale for the series will air next Wednesday night. Do you want another network to come in and save Nashville from the grim reaper? Tell us what you think.

I love Nashville, I don’t want it to end. Please do something to save it.
Great show incredibly talented actors and artists. Shocked to see it was cancelled and hope another network is smart enough to keep it going.
Absolutely! The music is good, the storyline is believable, and the actors/actresses are very talented, it is truly a shame to let Nashville end like this.
How could you!!! My very favorite show and I know I am not alone.. Beautiful music, warm and loving script. Will probably be replaced with the usual garbage…cop shows, violent scripts. I hope you will reconsider when you get the backlash.
Please please someone bring back this show its so good! For crying out loud they still have days of our lives and others shows that have been on for ever. Bring back Nashville
BIG MISTAKE ABC ….. This is a crock of crap! we love this show I sure hope another network picks it up . love the cast , the music , great guest appearance . SO Sad to think that a show the entire family can set down have popcorn and talk about at the dinner table just can’t get the ratings but Sex drugs, murder adultry is what people want to see .. Please reconsider this show please
I love this show. Pretty disappointed. Angry with ABC
A real shame, not very many wholesome shows left on the networks. This was a wonderful show that we could watCh with our kids together. It also made me a ‘country music’ fan! My vote is for another network to pick up the show and continue to give us great stories!
Save Nashville!!
Love this show; faithfully watched every Wed. Save this show; so much great music was shared through this outstanding ensemble cast! PLEASE SAVE NASHVILLE
I love Nashville TV show and do not want it cancelled. It’s one of the only show’s I watched that was filled with good music and hope for success in careers and romance. It was also one of the only show’s not police or crime based. I am truly disappointed that you would cancel such a good show.
I’m so disappointed to here that Nashville is being cancelled. I have been a fan since the beginning. There has never been a show with so much real talent and a good splash of drama. It also give you a look at what it takes to make it in the music world. If another network picks it up you can count on me being there.
Please continue the much loved Nashville. I would suggest more attention be given to the landscape of Nashville and surrounding areas. We Nashvillians and Nashville tourist love seeing the familiar sites.
PLEASE save Nashville!
I can’t begin to express how upset and disappointed that my husband and I are over cancelling Nashville. Every time we get into really enjoying a show it gets cancelled. And it’s not just abc. I don’t know what in the world is going on but the networks are nothing like they used to be.
