Looks like Will Chase is leaving Nashville. Entertainment Weekly reports the actor has joined ABC’s new series Time After Time.

Chase played Luke Wheeler on Nashville, which was picked up for a fifth season by CMT after ABC cancelled it earlier this year.

From Kevin Williamson, Time After Time stars Freddie Stroma as author H.G. Wells, who travels to the present day to catch an escaped Jack the Ripper (Josh Bowman). Chase has been cast as “Griffin, who is described as an ambitious and charismatic war veteran vying to be New York’s next state senator.”

Time After Time is slated to premiere in early 2017.
