CBS has set the date. Today, the network announced the 2017 premiere dates for the new TV series Training Day, Ransom, and Doubt.
Today, CBS also announced the winter and spring premiere dates for new seasons of Survivor, Undercover Boss, and Amazing Race.
A one-hour crime drama, Ransom centers on “a world-renowned crisis and hostage negotiator whose team is brought in to resolve the most difficult kidnap and ransom cases.” The cast includes Luke Roberts, Sarah Greene, Brandon Jay McLaren, and Nazneen Contractor. Ransom debuts on January 1st before moving to its regular Saturday timeslot on January 7th at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
Based on the film of the same name, Training Day “is a crime thriller starring Bill Paxton and Justin Cornwell that begins 15 years after the events of the feature film, about a young, idealistic police officer who is tapped to go undercover in an elite squad of the LAPD where he partners with a morally ambiguous veteran detective.” Training Day premieres on February 2nd at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
Doubt “stars Katherine Heigl as a brilliant attorney at a boutique firm who starts to fall for her charismatic client, an altruistic pediatric surgeon recently accused of murdering his girlfriend 24 years ago.” The cast also includes Dulé Hill, Steven Pasquale, Elliott Gould, Dreama Walker, Laverne Cox, and Kobi Libii. Doubt debuts on February 15th at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
