TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
Finale was really a let down. Could have had a 2 hour finale and let it end right.
Seemed like they wrote a season finale rather than a series finale. Big disappointment after watching every episode.
To DPA, when they made that episode, they did not know it was not being renewed. That is why it was like a season finale. They thought it was. No one knew that NBC was stupid and canceled it. But now maybe someone else will take it over and we can see the real ending. Hopefully.
The series finale of Revolution would suck the chrome out of Google.
Wayno
Wow why cancel this is the best show out there and the ending was amazing left a big cliffhanger for next season we DVR this show every week I know a lot of people who watch the show their ratings must be wrong
Renewd please
Oh sure, cancel a good series and keep the stupid reality shows. Now…will we ever find out if the world gets it’s power back? Really dumb to leave us hanging.
Please renew! This is a great show.
Don’t cancel this show!! Love the chatactets and the storyline. I’m always eagerly awaiting each new episode. Devastated when Jason was killed off but then I couldn’t wait to see what’s next for Charlie. Hope that there’s still a possibility it could come back. I need to see the Patriots defeated!
My husband and I paid to watch beginning of season 2 and we caught up just in time to see it cancelled. There really should be a season 3. We love this show.
Great show! Please bring it back!!
Keep the show going I am Sick of NBC getting rid of this show its a good show period!!!!!!!
Bring it back! Best show ever and no real end. So upset right now.
Please do not cancel this show. It is the best show on.
Can’t believe this is being cancelled!! One of my favorite shows! Why doesn’t the Sci-Fi channel pick this up?! And this wasn’t even a finale! Could we at least get a finale out of this?! After watching tonight’s show, I was hoping that it had been renewed since it left off with no conclusions…
I think this show was really good. It kind of got away from the main plot but I think you should give it another chance.
Great show such a different story line. A must keep! Sadly the way it was forced to end is just a spattering of what was yet to come! Getting really tired of all the cancelations of the last several years. We really get into a show and boom canceled for what, some stupid unrealistic reality show! That’s right unrealistic reality show, such crap! Give me a well thought story line every day instead of that crap. Bring back Revolution!
