NBC has had great ratings success with airing The Blacklist after The Voice, their biggest series. Will State of Affairs be a hit as well? Cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
State of Affairs follows a top CIA analyst (Katherine Heigl) who assembles the President of the United States’ Daily Briefing (PDB), weighing the vital security issues that face the nation. She has a close personal relationship with the commander-in-chief (Alfre Woodard) as she was once engaged to the president’s now-deceased son. The rest of the cast of this dramatic thriller includes Adam Kaufman, Sheila Vand, Cliff Chamberlain, Tommy Savas, and David Harbour.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: NBC has cancelled State of Affairs after one season of 13 episodes.
1/19 update: If you ran the network, would you cancel or renew State of Affairs?
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the State of Affairs TV show? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Love this show!!
Yes absolutely positively renew! Nbc cancels too many up and coming new shows that never get a chance!!! This show is amazing!
State of Affairs is an exciting, dynamic show and Hegel is masterful. The suspense is high and the action is rapid enuf to keep a viewers interest I am glad to see SoA turning the spotlight on the potential for involvement of American citizens, especially impressionable students forming terrorist cells. This show has come out swinging and has the potential for years of happy viewing if the network is not shortsighted enuf to cancel it~ .
RENEW! Such a great show!
Absolutely love this show! Please renew!
Love this show!!! Please don’t cancel it
I love this show. I would love to see a second season.
I think it should be cancelled. I wasn’t impressed with it and Heigl hasn’t done on good job on it.
just like crisis, the lead couldn’t carry the show
Oh my goodness! I will be DEVASTATED if they cancel it! This show is the best thing in a LONG time!!! I wasn’t a religious watcher of 24 (especially when it got gruesome) but this definitely has some of the same feel. When will we know more about its fate?
Please don’t cancel this show, I Love It!!!! I got to test this show in a panel in Las Vegas last September. It was fabulous and each week seems to be more suspenseful. Very relevant topics. Love all the twists. I watch it live and tape it so I can rewatch it in case I missed anything.
Please please please renew state of affairs. I love this show!
Please renew this show. I have to admit, it was slow getting into it, but it has gotten increasingly better and I’m hooked now.
OMG, I just binge watched this show, my jaw is dropped with amazement! Please renew, it’s awesome! You will do us a disservice if you cancel this show.
Great show….relavant themes…good action….Please don’t cancel. Lots of mindless shows on TV. This one keeps us engaged. No we are not the 18-49 year olds. Leave us “other” viewers with something other than sitcoms with offensive language.
I am hooked on this show & I couldn’t for it to come out. Now I look forward to watching it every Monday night. Great show! Stupid to cancel it!
