Jay Leno will bid farewell to The Tonight Show (for the second time) on Thursday, February 6, 2014. This will lead into NBC’s coverage of the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Per his exit deal with the network, Leno’s staff will be paid through September 2014, when his contract expires.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will debut during the second week of the games, on Monday, February 24th. It will be followed by the premiere of Late Night With Seth Meyers. Both will be executive produced by Lorne Michaels and will be broadcast out of New York.
For the first time, both Tonight and Late Night will be regularly broadcast out of the same building.
