At today’s Starz portion of the TCA Winter Press Tour, CEO Chris Albrecht said that the cable channel is considering a sequel to The White Queen — The White Princess.
According to Deadline, he said, “We’re working with [The White Queen screenwriter] Emma Frost on the stories… We will not have BBC as part of it. We are interested, if the stars align, in a sequel to The White Queen.”
The limited series apparently performed well for Starz but was less successful for the BBC which co-produced. The latter has decided not to continue with the property.
Like the original series, The White Princess would be based on the book by historical novelist Philippa Gregory.

I completely agree with everything Tanya said! It would be a disappointment if the series ended! It is also educational and not only bravo to Starz but bravo to Tanya for describing exactly what I was thinking. 🙂
It would be a great disappointment if the series ends. The series is entertaining as well as educational. And it has sparked a renewed interest on history. And since the schools do not seem to be able or willing to spark interest…well let’s just say it has gotten more of the youth to pick up a book to read and research! Bravo to Starz for their insight!
I thoroughly enjoyed the series and hope that it will be continued. I purchased the whole series of books to re-enjoy it all again.

I loved it am watching it for the 5th time. I have read all of Philippa Gregory’s books I just finished The Kings Curse last night. I wish it would have continued to a 2nd Season.
Loved The White Queen! So well done expected there would be a season two.
