At today’s Starz portion of the TCA Winter Press Tour, CEO Chris Albrecht said that the cable channel is considering a sequel to The White Queen — The White Princess.
According to Deadline, he said, “We’re working with [The White Queen screenwriter] Emma Frost on the stories… We will not have BBC as part of it. We are interested, if the stars align, in a sequel to The White Queen.”
The limited series apparently performed well for Starz but was less successful for the BBC which co-produced. The latter has decided not to continue with the property.
Like the original series, The White Princess would be based on the book by historical novelist Philippa Gregory.

Pleeeease give us a second season. I know this article was published a whole year ago but people are still wanting more. I just binge watched the first season while stuck at home in the snow storm. I miss the characters and the story is so amazing. I miss it enough to watch it all over again…right now. Help!
Please do bring on Season 2.
Quality, well written and tastefully directed series such as The White Queen are something to look forward to in these days of excessive nonsense, so-called reality shows and just plain trashy tv. Please show us there is a reason to plug the box in again.

It only makes sense to further this series with the White Princess. IT is a well written series not overly bent on violence, but rather the human aspects and facts of what happened. I really loved this series and was very surprised when I read it wasn’t meant to have a sequel as it is a natural. Please bring it back and do not wait too long so the actors are still available to continue this fascinating recount of the British history.
One of the best series I’ve seen on any of the prime movie services. I thought I was hooked on Game of Thrones, after seeing this I think I like this even better. The screen play and plot is more humanized and probably represents the era in history more realistically. I’m going to recommend this series to everyone I know. Although this is the type of program you need to watch without interruptions. Dialog and character interaction are key to understanding the dynamics. I Love this show so much it is beyond words this show is so good it must have a sequel.
What is the difference between continuation of the series and a sequel? Please continue with the series anyway. I am sure that I am not the only one who has put this together, but perhaps we can make a major series by combining such movies, starting with the “The White Queen” series leading into the “The Tutor” series, continuing with “Elizabeth” w/Blanchett, to finally, “Elizabeth I” w/Mirren. Hopefully I got the queens in the correct chronological order because it all comes down to the Queen.
