Low Winter Sun was cancelled after one low-rated season, despite having the final episodes of Breaking Bad as a lead-in. How will Turn do as a lead-in to the finale season of Mad Men? Will it be a ratings success for AMC and be renewed for a second season — or will it be cancelled instead? Stay tuned.
Taking place during the American Revolutionary War, Turn follows a group of friends who become spies and help turn the tide of the war. The cast includes Amy Gumenick, Angus Macfadyen, Burn Gorman, Daniel Henshall, Heather Lind, JJ Feild, Jamie Bell, Kevin McNally, Meegan Warner, and Seth Numrich.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

What do you think? Do you like the Turn TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
We love this series and look forward to it every week. We record it and eagerly anticipate our time watching this very interesting aspect of our American Revolution. I would compare this series to “American Experience.” It is educational while being extremely entertaining. It would be distressing to have this delight cancelled.
I intend to catch up with Turn at some point but I stopped watching after the 3rd episode. The huge ratings drop from the 2nd to the 3rd episode was basically because the story was slow to develop and character building was haphazard at best. I was entertained but not nearly enough to set time aside to watch this show live on a Sunday evening. It just isn’t compelling television especially compared to the high quality usually delivered by AMC. As of the 3rd episode it is a nice show to watch when winding down in the quiet time of… Read more »
I really look forward to this show each week. That’s really saying something coming from someone who can’t stand many of the shows on TV these days – especially on the networks! Engaging characters, great acting, and an intriguing storyline makes this series stand out above the rest. Keep it on, AMC!!!
Great show I hope it doesn’t get cancelled.
Great show due to strong characters and decent story line. Don’t cancel! Renew!
I think it’s great! My husband and I love the show and look forward to it each week. It has good writing, acting, and is intriguing. The end of the show always leaves us wishing it was longer. We will be very disappointed if this show is cancelled. My brother and his wife told me about it. They feel the same way and I glad they told us to watch.
Fantastic show,I hope they don’t cancel it,if it were on a diff night the ratings would be much better
I’m loving this show, I think the ratings are low bc it’s on the same time at game of thrones :-/ hope it gets a chance at a second season and in a new time slot :-/
My new favorite escape!! I watch this and DVR all the rest! Do not cancel !!
This show is FANTASTIC, and deserves so much attention than it’s getting. It’s hands down the best period piece I’ve seen on the American Revolution, and I very, very much hope it gets renewed. Quality television is hard to come by – let’s hope AMC lets it continue!
The show is interesting to thus who love history and the behind the scenes activities that gathering intelligence in any war entails. Given time to develop characters and a loyal following this show has substance and can be worthwhile. Like anything however now that requires thought and knowledge of our history and traditions, it’s fate hinges on the reaction of a fickle public.
Great show! It seems anything historical gets less interest than other programing. I hope this one sticks for awhile. I’m about two shows Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. Now three with Turn.
Is there a way to get the ratings with the post-Mad Men encore ratings included, or those people DVRing? I love both Turn and GoT and it was only the second screen experience on Turn that actually got me to start DVRing GoT. However, all my friends that watch Turn also watch GoT (what stupid, stupid timing AMC) and, as all social media lights up with spoilers for GoT, my friends watch GoT first. I’ll give AMC the benefit of the doubt that they aren’t dumb enough to renew or cancel this show based off the single airing going up… Read more »
I love TURN but it’s up against tough competition Sunday nights. Our DVR only handles 2 shows at a time, and my wife doesn’t follow TURN, so I have to find a 2AM repeat later in the week to record. Although I’m a huge fan, for reasons others have well stated here, we found Episode 1 pretty hard to follow. My wife gave up, but I watched it again and took a couple of pages of notes. With that background, later episodes have been less challenging! One DOES have to pay attention!
I wonder if the low numbers are because Turn is on against Game of Thrones ? I really like this show and I love the accuracy; granted the time frame is a bit off, still the characters and actions as portrayed are pretty true to the Culper Spy Ring.
