January is shaping up to be a superhero sweep for The CW. Deadline reports the network will air two half-hour DC specials for their new series DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and upcoming DC movies.
The two specials will air on January 19th, beginning at 9 p.m.
The first special, DC’S Legends of Tomorrow: Their Time Is Now, will explore the backstories for the characters who appear in The CW’s new show, which premieres on January 21st.
It will be followed by DC Films Presents: Dawn Of The Justice League, a look at the three new DC movies coming out in the next two years: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman, and Suicide Squad.
The half-hour special will end with the world premiere of a new Suicide Squad trailer. The film premieres on August 5th, 2016.
