Dracula: Season One Ratings

Dracula TV show on NBC ratingsThe peacock network has found ratings success with the dark Grimm series on Friday nights. Is there room for another spooky thriller or will Dracula be cancelled quickly like so many other series? Stay tuned!

NBC’s Dracula is a retelling of the classic Bram Stoker story. In London, Dracula (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) is posing as an American entrepreneur while he seeks revenge on those who cursed him. He doesn’t count on falling in love with a woman (Jessica De Gouw) who looks just like his deceased wife. Others in the cast include Thomas Kretschmann, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Victoria Smurfit, Katie McGrath, and Nonso Anozie.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

5/10 update: NBC has cancelled Dracula after one season and 10 episodes.

Final season averages: 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.25 million total viewers.

These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

What do you think? Do you like the Dracula TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for second season?

I like the show! The show was unique and different from the other TV shows. I loved the Victorian Era and the homes and dresses in the show. It looked so real!

I even signed the petition and sent e-mails to Netflix to take the show.

OCTOBER 9TH
THE FIGHT CONTINUES – – – – LETS ALL DO OUR PART – – – – WE WILL NOT GIVE UP – – – – DRACULA WILL RETURN!
The new Fall Season has started and the new series that will be taking our Dracula’s spot as many of you already know is called CONSTANTINE. It will air on Friday October 24th. We need to boycott that show so that NBC will see that the ratings for the shows that they have put there (HANNIBAL and CROSSBONES) have had dismal ratings, far worse than Dracula had. We all know that Dracula was on the upswing in ratings when it ended and NBC knows it too. Lets drive that point in when we contact NBC.
Now, having that said, we still need to write, e-mail and/or tweet the other networks too. We are not giving up, we will not give up. DRACULA was just too superb of a series to let die and even more so knowing that Cole Haddon had written episodes for a few more seasons. We want to see them, we deserve to see them and we will see them! Lets UNITE in this effort and get our Drac back on the air again.
LONG LIVE DRACULA!!!!

Dracula was a quality production, which NBC stupidly canceled only to replace with a vastly inferior supernatural drama, Constantine. Constantine is pulling in a fraction of Dracula’s audience with much worse ratings share, so it serves NBC right!

This was a classic example of a blatant and uninformed stupid decision constructed by a group of myopic dummies at a time when information is tantamount, footloose and fancy free. How could a decision be made without input from a samlpling of viewing audience comment before the fact. Now this is how money and passion mixes like oil and water.

I was quite sad to find out that this series has been cancelled. It was a really well done and captivating series. Let’s hope they change their mind on renewing it.
