No Ordinary Family: Petition and Ways to Support the ABC TV Show

No Ordinary Family TV showThe Powell family are learning how to use their amazing new powers to help the world. Unfortunately, they’re not going to be able to do that much longer. The ratings for ABC’s No Ordinary Family have not been good and the series is sure to be cancelled.

What can you do? Remember, the ideal scenario for ABC is for many millions of people to watch the show on their television sets, while it’s being broadcast. Unfortunately, ratings are put together based on a sampling of viewers. If you’re a “Nielsen household,” your viewing is being counted. If not, it’s not.

However, if you like No Ordinary Family and want to see it continue, there are a few things you can do to help.

  1. If you’re a Nielsen family, watch the show whenever it’s on. If not, watch it on ABC.com or purchase episodes online so your viewing will be directly counted. Encourage others to watch the show. You might know a Nielsen family and not be aware of it.
  1. Talk about the show with others; at school, at work, online, or wherever. Creating a buzz about a show that you’re invested in gets other people interested and might help bring former viewers back.
  1. Sign the petition below and encourage others to do the same.
  1. Write to the network. Be respectful. Everyone responds better to courtesy. Tell them how much you enjoy the show, that you’ve signed the petition, and that you want to see it continue. You can use this form or, even better, write via “snail-mail” to: Mr. Paul Lee, President, ABC, 500 S. Buena Vista Street, Burbank, CA 91521, RE: No Ordinary Family
  1. Call the network at (818) 460-7477 and leave a comment. Be polite and tell them how much you like the show.
  1. Take note of the products that are advertised during the show. Write the advertisers and tell them that you appreciate their sponsoring the show and that you buy their products (if you do).
  1. Check out the list of efforts started by some devoted fans on the ABC site.

    Look I know its been more than 2 years since it was cancelled but ABC you have got to bring " No Ordinary Family" back.This show is one of my favorite shows.It's funny when it means to be funny and serious when it means to be serious and throughout that it remains interesting.Plus it is appropriate enough to watch with kids yet remains interesting at young adult and adulthood ages.Its like the "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" Or better yet like The "Friends" show appropriate enough for kids. If you don't bring it back I think you will be missing a great opportunity

    I watched the first season recently and when I got to episode 20, I thought there might be like 21 or 22 episodes, But there wasn't. I think it was an awesome show and they should still continue even though it's been like two years.

    This show needs to come back. If not, then a movie must be made to give the fans who still long for the show since its beginnings and reruns a proper ending. 20 episodes and george FINALLY gets powers, just for the network to rip it away from us and we never get to see what they are. Or how the goverment found out about the family and are not stalking them or sicking the swat teams on them. I demand this show be put on air again. It's a wholesome show that didn't get it's fair shake because of Heros and look how long that ran for. I even have a script in mind that would bring everything together and make it fun and interesting, original again. please bring it back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Alors qu'on avait enfin une série fantastique avec des sortes de mutants qui valait le coups d'être vue on prend la décision de ne pas faire de suite, c'est vraiment dommage, aucune série de ce genre n'avait été valable depuis Dark Angel et Charmed et à coté de ça on produit des séries débiles sur la vie de jeunes riches...

    I did not want to let myself start watching this show for the simple fact that i knew it got cancelled and didn't wanna risk falling in love with a show that wont last... But i did, i started watching it out of bordem and it IMMEDIATELY became my fav show! I love everything about this show! I experience multiple emotions while maintaining one important state of mind, INTERESTED! I cant have this show be done in 1 season! I cant be ok with that! What if we let family guy get cancelled?? BRING NO ORDINARY FAMILY BACK! Do the fans a favor for once!

    Was not able to watch this show while it was on-air due to nursing school. Once I graduated, I watched this on Netflix and totally loved it. I was so upset when I discovered that this show ended. So much was left unresolved. Please bring this show back for another season.

    Please bring back No ordinary Family. There are not many famly shows (ie no swearing or gratuitous violence) and it concerns me that programmes such as this are cancelled when obviously are enjoyed by many people. Perhaps the timing of the shows was not ideal for families but here in the UK it was an ideal time for airing.

    I'VE SEEN SUPERHERO SHOWS THAT JUST DON'T GET IT BUT THIS ONE DOES AND IT HAS SOME POTENTIAL I THINK. SO RECONSIDER FOR ANOTHER SEASON AT LEAST AND DONT CHANGE THE ACTORS PLEASE I HATE IT WHEN A SHOW CHANGES ACTORS, IT MAKES IT SEEM LESS REAL (I KNOW IT IS FAKE BUT STILL) AND USUALLY THE NEW ACTOR SUCKS SO KEEP IT REAL OK.
