The demo rose a bit this week to a 1.0 rating with 2.13 million. That was an increase of 11%. Because the rest of the network’s shows are doing so poorly, Secret Circle is CW’s second-highest rated show.

Episode 01-02: Thursday, 9/22/11:
Ouch! What a difference a week can make. After a positive premiere, Secret Circle ratings took a big dive in week two. The episode rated a 0.9 rating in the demo and 2.12 million viewers. That represents a loss of a whopping 31% in the all-important demographic. It’s certainly not good news. Will the numbers keep dropping?
Season average: 1.1 demo with 2.58 million.

Episode 01-01: Thursday, 9/15/11
Secret Circle debuted to a 1.3 in the 18-49 demographic and 3.05 million viewers. The series premiere held onto most of the audience from the Vampire Diaries lead-in and didn’t lose many viewers as the hour progressed. That’s positive and bodes well for next week. Though it didn’t have much competition, Secret Circle is The CW’s best series premiere of the season.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

What do you think? Do you like the The Secret Circle TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

…i loved it; i was more satisfied with the way it ended versus Ringer, Vampire Diaries, CSI Las Vegas, Criminal Minds & the New Girl’s season finales. i definitely want to see more of Jessica Parker Kennedy & Shelley Hennig; their acting skills was beyond the capacity of the CW. they were acting like they were casted on an FX show or something. the story was enjoyable too; but i would love the answers. i was so thankful for what happened to Blackwell & Charles. i’m going to miss this show… :(

I loved this show. It stinks that two out of the only four shows I watch are going to be canceled. After watching it on thursday I was like wow I can’t wait to find out what happens next season. Now this. This is a great show. Maybe if enough show interest it will come back.

its been already cancelled… the pace of the story in the show was very slow… which was its demise i guess… the story did pick up at the end of the series(too little to late)… from the looks of it, the 2nd season would of been much better, if the show had continued.
