The script may not be locked down yet but Kiefer Sutherland says that the 24 movie is moving forward. The star of the TV series recently told Extra that they plan to start filming the feature film in the next eight months or so.
Sutherland admits that getting the story right is a challenge. He notes, “It’s a very difficult thing to take something you’ve done for eight years, almost two hundred episodes, and try to find a story that’s going to be unique and yet service the history of the show as well.”
In the meantime, Sutherland is heading to Broadway to star in a revival of That Championship Season with actor Chris Noth (The Good Wife). It’s a story about four friends who are each going through mid-life crises. It was made into a feature film in 1982.
Here’s video of the brief interview with Sutherland…
What do you think? Are you glad to hear this? Are you concerned that the script hasn’t been finalized yet?
ANOTHER GOOD SHOW GONE ROSE
Maybe this means, if of course the movie gets a good reaction, that the series will just be movies now. I’m not even a fan, and I’m reaching for the stars. But that’s up to the people. So the fans beter do their part and see it. Who knows right. But even if the script isn’t finalized, still good news: the movie is coming.
