24 Legacy keeps adding to its cast. A new addition to the cast of the FOX pilot was announced on Friday. Jimmy Smits will join the series as John Donovan.
According to The Wrap, Smits will play “a powerful U.S. Senator with higher political aspirations, who is married to the blazing smart former head of CTU Rebecca Ingram.” She is played by Miranda Otto.
Smits is no stranger to television. He is best known for his roles on NYPD Blue, The West Wing, and L.A. Law. He also appeared on three seasons of Sons of Anarchy.
Are you a fan of Jimmy Smits? Does his addition make you want to see 24 Legacy? Tell us what you think.
NO, WELL MAYBE IT’S OK, BUT HE IS NOT THE MAIN CONCERN… THE MAIN CONCERN IS PUTTING KEIFFER BACK AS JACK BAUER, YOU KNOW HE IS THE MAIN AND WHAT AND WHO EVERYBODY COMES TO WATCH!!! NOT JUST ANY OTHER SO-CALLED LESSER ACTOR. THE MASSES OF VIEWERS WATCH JACK BAUER BECAUSE IT IS KEIFFER SUTHERLAND WHO STARTED THE CHARACER AND THE VIEWERS ARE ONLY GOING TO INVEST IN THE SIGNATURE ACTOR (KEIFFER SUTHERLAND) BECAUSE HE IS JACK BAUER AND NOBODY CAN TAKE HIS PLACE.
Love Jimmy Smits!
I like all the casting choices this far and can’t wait to see the first episode. You can’t replace Jack, but the history of TV is full of replacements who kept shows going for years. One can only hope 24 Legacy and it’s new cast joins the list!
Great to see Jimmy Smits back on TV. His new role is truly David Palmer like.
