After running for eighth seasons, FOX cancelled the 24 TV series due to declining ratings. Now, the characters are back for a “limited” series of 12 episodes. Will the ratings be good enough for the network to renew 24 for another season or will this be the end for Jack Bauer for good? Stay tuned!
24: Live Another Day: is set four years after the events of season eight and finds Jack (Kiefer Sutherland) in London, once again trying to prevent a global disaster. The rest of the cast includes Yvonne Strahovski, Tate Donovan, Mary Lynn Rajskub, William Devane, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Giles Matthey, Michael Wincott, Benjamin Bratt, and Kim Raver.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically the following morning, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
Final season averages: 1.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.33 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparison: The last regular season of 24 averaged a 2.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.28 million total viewers.
Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you still like the 24 TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled again or renewed for another season?
Please bring Jack back, there isn’t a show on tv that compares in intensity and excellence as 24!
The serie 24 another must living..also jack Bauer. Renewed. is a really fantastic serie. i see renewd so much bad show renewed….Jack living again another day.
Keep this series going – best one on TV!!!!!! Can’t get enough.
I love, love this show…I hope Fox has the sense to bring back “24” for more seasons…This is the best show on TV…I would be so disappointed in Fox if they ever considered killing
off the Jack Bauer character… I am hoping I will see the promo for more seasons of “24”…I love all of the cast…its perfect… don’t change a thing… Of course Keifer Sutherland is Jack Bauer…there could be no one else to play that part… Keep up the good work and bring us more Jack….
BEST show ever. PLEASE renew this show. I LOVE Keifer Sutherland! This season has been fantastic!!!
Must Renew. Show too good. Most of TV has junk on it. This is worth watching!!!
Please Renew Fox!!!
24 is the best series. Hope it stays on.
Renew, renew, renew, still lives up to the previous years.
This show has been as good as ever this year. Best action show on tv. Hope to see it renewed. I love it…
The most addictive TV Series I have ever watched. It has been good to have Jack back. :-)Certainly hope there’s more in store for us.
I love 24 and think it should be renewed. It is by far my favorite series of all time. That being said, even though I have watched every episode of every 24, not one of them has been on network television, all of them have been online. For that matter I do not watch anything on television with the exception to the NFL during football season.
Gets me every episode. Keep 24 going.
Summer numbers would not be as strong as fall-winter season, yet millions are watching.
Great plot this summer.
Yes !!
You can’t compare ratings now with ratings 4 years ago. Who watches shows live anymore. Whether its DVR, the Fox website, your cable provider “to go”, On Demand, Hulu, Netflix… theres just too many shows to watch live now. I rarely watch 24 live. Almost always the next day. But I have never missed an episode…for all the seasons its been on…NEVER.
Ditto!!! Show is great & Jack hasn’t changed abit
24 is unique and the best action show on TV please renew
Love it !!!!!!!!! Please do not cancel the show. Waited long enough for it to come back
