What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the ABC television network, American Crime stars Regina King, Felicity Huffman, Connor Jessup, Richard Cabral, and Benito Martinez. Recurring players include Sandra Oh, Cherry Jones, Tim DeKay, Janel Moloney, Dallas Roberts, Timothy Hutton, Lili Taylor, Ana Mulvoy-Ten, Mickaëlle X. Bizet, and Clayton Cardenas. In season three, Luis Salazar (Martinez) travels from Mexico to the United States, without documentation. Searching for his missing son, he discovers that modern servitude is thriving in the farmlands. Living in poverty and required to pay for their own food and other essentials, what little money workers earn ends up back in their employers’ pockets. This corrupt arrangement leaves them in such debt, that they can never leave. Undocumented workers aren’t the only people targeted by this system.
Season Three Ratings
The third season of American Crime averaged a 0.39 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.92 million viewers. Compared to season two that’s down by 58% and down by 48%, respectively. Find out how American Crime stacks up against other ABC TV shows.

Telly’s Take
The third season premiered with very poor numbers and they’ve gotten worse. Based on the ratings, American Crime should be cancelled. That said, this TV series has always been a poor performer, yet here it is in season three. Have the numbers dropped too low to be renewed? I think so.

All of the excellent series get cancelled. American Crime had excellent storylines, excellent casting and acting and fantastic writing! Why cancel it? That’s insane. PLEASE bring it back for a 4th, 5th, 6th and on seasons!!!
can’t believe they are cancelling the show this was the best show on TV. I am not happy with all the other garbage we have on I don’t understand why the good ones always get cancelled! And it was nominated for an Emmy???
Have heard the American Crime anthology is fantastic and as yet have not seen it as I am resident in the UK. Hope it is released as a region 2 DVD box set and can’t wait to possibly see it. With what I know of it to date I am very sorry it has been cancelled.
I really liked the series. It seems if a series is good they will only run a few seasons but the ones that are not so good last longer. I don’t understand!
One of the best shows I’ve ever watched! Excellent story lines and great acting and love watching how true events happened!

Maybe American Crime will find a new home. Acting is terrific as is the writing. Subject matter is always something that needs discussion and light. How does this not deserve renewal yet those horrid Kardashians go on and on? The dumbing down of America is alive and well.
