Speaking with Bill Simmons, Arrested Development executive producer Brian Grazer has said that 17 episodes are being planned for the fifth season of the cult comedy. He said, “People are loyal to it, and we’re gonna do another (pause) 17 episodes. So stay tuned for Arrested Development.” The interview is below.
Arrested Development ran for three low-rated seasons on FOX before being cancelled. Series creator Mitch Hurwitz reunited the cast years later to create a fourth season for Netflix. Last year, Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s content chief, said that he was “positive” that there would be a fifth season but it was just a question of making the players’ schedules work.
What do you think? Woul you like to see a fifth season of Arrested Development? Did you like the format of season four?
After that fourth season, my response is “Meh.” I’ll probably watch, but don’t expect me to get excited about it.
