While viewers get a look into the past of killer Norman Bates, A&E is hoping Bates Motel will bring in killer ratings. Will the show end up being cancelled or will it be renewed for a second season? Time will tell.
This TV show serves as a prequel to the Psycho movie. The cast includes Vera Farmiga, Freddie Highmore, Olivia Cooke, Nicola Peltz, Keegan Connor Tracy, Max Thieriot, Nestor Carbonell, Mike Vogel, and Richard Harmon.
The TV show’s ratings are the best way to tell if it will be cancelled or renewed for a second season. The first season of Bates Motel airs Monday nights and there are 10 episodes.

Bates Motel should be kept on and not cancelled. Its one of the best shows to come along in a long time. Can’t wait for it to start again. Don’t take it off.
No way in hell should it be canceled. Its a great show, just give some time to pick up new folks to watch it.
I can’t wait for the return of bates motel. Please, bring this show back don’t leave us in the dark at lease show the ending what to become of Norman and his mother. thank you
Great show love it. Mother Vera Farmiga is some Hell of a mother.
show sucks
love this show.. didn’t miss an episode and cant wait for next season…good job, please keep it on!!!! angie
One of the best shows ever to hit TV. The subtle way in which we see Norman lose his sanity is thrilling to watch. I can’t wait for further episodes as he takes on his Mothers identity. His love/hate for her has yet to be established. It would be a terrible injustice to see this show cancelled for at least the next 10 years as Norman/Mother do their deeds. Remember, Norman “wouldn’t hurt a fly).
Best drama TV show with great intrigue and new plots every episode. This is a great winning show and should become permanent!
The show has been renewed for a second season as of April 8, 2013 – Season 2 to contain 10 episodes, airing in 2014.
