TV show description:
A drama, this TV series revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers. They have polar opposite views of the world and (possibly) a grudging respect for each other’s abilities as they clean up the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) is a good but gruff and hard-boiled detective. He’s had his world turned upside down when strikingly handsome and charismatic Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) opens an FBI field office at the police station — and he chooses Russ to be his partner.
Milt’s polished sophistication and access to unlimited state-of-the-art equipment is impressive to his new co-workers in the absurdly underfunded department.
The pair work long hours together in the economically distressed city and it remains to be seen if Milt’s charm and endless supply of high-end resources or Russ’s old-fashioned cynicism, guile and deception will be the keys to catching the bad guys.
Other characters include Commander Guziewicz (Janet McTeer), Detective Fontanelle White (Kal Penn), Holly Dale (Aubrey Dollar), and Aaron Funkhauser (Edward Fordham, Jr.).
Episode #13 — Sympathy for the Devil
Milt survives a car bombing and enlists Russ to track down his would-be assassin, leading to startling revelations as to why Milt is the way he is and what brought him to Battle Creek.
First aired: May 24, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Battle Creek TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season instead?
Please reconsider the cancellation of Battle Creek. There are so few shows that are good/
The show should be renewed for a second season, there aren’t many quality shows out there and this is a quality show. The actors make you feel your part of the show and you can relate to them. Too many good shows get cancelled before they even get started and this was one of them. Bad move. Give it another shot.
Finally a show that both myself and my husband loved. Even though I had to remind him every Sunday night that our favorite show was coming on and he had to get out of his shop and come in and watch what he called General Mills! Please bring it back, please, please so at least I get to see him sometime on the weekend!!!
Everyone in our household loved the series, we are sad to see it canceled
Didn’t like it at first, but definitely better as it went along. It would be a DVR favorite if we were busy if they kept it on.
Fun show…..why do the good ones get dumped??? I hope another network picks this show up!
We really enjoy Battle Creek series on CBS. Please DO NOT CANCEL. Please renew!!

I liked it
The problem with Battle Creek is that the show is too good. The writing was too good. The actors were too good. None of the main characters had to use a curse word every 3 words; none had an alcohol or cocaine habit, there was not nudity or sex every half hour. None had a political agenda and had to throw in the president’s name every 15 minutes. It is simply a very, very, very good show! When I think of the talentless, just plain stupid shows that CBS will carry over – it is sickening.
Really liked the show, lots of laughs, upset that it was cancelled
We are very disappointed to know that Battle Creek was canceled. It was an excellent show with great actors and writers. Let’s hope another network does pick it up.
I agree. The acting was awesome. The writing was improving more and more. I really hoped to see it continue. The cast was a good “odd couple” sort of combo. That made it worth watching.
They should have given it another year. Some shows take a year to get good word of mouth reviews. I think show would have picked up some steam and ratings next year.
Enjoyed “Battle Creek” very much, hope that it will be renewed by CBS or picked up by another network!
Fine acting, exellent writing.
So sorry to see another show I totally enjoy, bite the dust. ” Battle Creek” is so entertaining, without the gut wrenching intensity of other crime shows. The humor did it. I wish another network could/would pick up this show, and continue the love.
