TV show description:
A drama, this TV series revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers. They have polar opposite views of the world and (possibly) a grudging respect for each other’s abilities as they clean up the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) is a good but gruff and hard-boiled detective. He’s had his world turned upside down when strikingly handsome and charismatic Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) opens an FBI field office at the police station — and he chooses Russ to be his partner.
Milt’s polished sophistication and access to unlimited state-of-the-art equipment is impressive to his new co-workers in the absurdly underfunded department.
The pair work long hours together in the economically distressed city and it remains to be seen if Milt’s charm and endless supply of high-end resources or Russ’s old-fashioned cynicism, guile and deception will be the keys to catching the bad guys.
Other characters include Commander Guziewicz (Janet McTeer), Detective Fontanelle White (Kal Penn), Holly Dale (Aubrey Dollar), and Aaron Funkhauser (Edward Fordham, Jr.).
Episode #13 — Sympathy for the Devil
Milt survives a car bombing and enlists Russ to track down his would-be assassin, leading to startling revelations as to why Milt is the way he is and what brought him to Battle Creek.
First aired: May 24, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Battle Creek TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season instead?
Love this show. I hope another network picks it up. I reminds me of House which also had a slow start, however Fox stuck with it.
I’m disappointed the show was cancelled, It had all the elements for success, why didn’t they give it a chance? the writers were awesome the cast fit, My husband and I enjoyed watching it…
I think Battle Creek is a great well written show. I enjoy Dean Winters sarcasem he does such a good job of portraying his part.
I love this show I am so angry you are canceling it. Can,t you reconsider
I cannot believe that this show is getting cancelled. It’s one of my favorites. I hope another network picks it up.
I really really wish it wasn’t canceled.
My husband and I really liked Battle Creek. W felt that it was just coming into its own.
Liked the mix of humor and drama.
My wife and I truly enjoyed the series “Battle Creek”. It was a refreshing difference from “typical” detective shows. Bad decision by the network!!!!!!!!!! Booooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
It’s a shame – almost no advertising, put it on on SUNDAY night and wonder why no one watched – it was getting better and better.
LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!
This was/is a great series. I can’t believe, that with some of the CRAP cbs has on that they won’t give this series a chance. Sunday nite is tough, sports, etc make it hard to see all the shows because you don’t know if it’ll be on, what time. I wish some other network would pick it up.
I am seriously missing Battle Creek already. Love the cast and story-telling. Wish another outlet would pick it up. 🙁
We really enjoyed Battle Creek. Mystery with a little humor was entertaining! If CBS
does not pick it up…they are really losing out. Maybe even a new time slot would be better, since Sunday is so loaded with great programs. We would sure like to see Battle Creek return next year.
I hope that another network picks it up!
Yes ditto that!! Fun and mystery paired with some great actors and characterizations. Boo to CBS. Any station should grab this up.
I love the show. It is the perfect blend of solving crimes, humor, interesting character and relationships. And it is one of the few shows that are clean. Please renew!!!!!
