After 200 episodes of Beavis and Butt-head, the MTV series ended in 1997. It seemed like that was the end for the teenage delinquents but Mike Judge revived the animated series and the eighth season debuted last October.
The show drew 3.29 million viewers for its season premiere but viewership dwindled over the course of the 12 episodes. The season finale, which aired on December 29th, drew 919,000 viewers. While there hasn’t been any word on a ninth season yet, season eight has been released on DVD and Blu-ray.

My favorite episode from the new season has to be the one where Beavis & Butthead think they are the last people on earth, classic TV!
I was a huge fan back in the 90s, even though I wasn’t even a teen, and I was prohibited from watching. I was raised by “butt-munches”.
I watched the new episodes last year. I have to say that they were even funnier than the original run, and that almost never happens with rebooted shows. It was like they were frozen back in the 90s and thawed out for today.
I would love to see them again… and again, and again, and again, so I’m entering. 🙂 Thanks for the contest!!

I recall seeing only a few of the original episodes from back in the 90’s over at my friends house, and I loved them! I didn’t have cable TV back then. And I totally missed out on the new show! Darn! I would love to be able to win a copy! 🙂
