Betty Boop is returning to the small screen for the first time in 30 years. There is a new animated series now in the works that will introduce Betty Boop to a new generation of teens and tweens. The cartoon is set to arrive in 2018, and the first season will consist of 26 episodes.
The new Betty Boop series is coming from Normaal Animation in partnership with Fleischer Studios and King Features. Normaal is the same company behind the new Peanuts TV series.
Mark Fleischer, President and CEO of Fleischer Studios, spoke about the new series. According to Deadline, he said:
“We are delighted to be partnering with an innovative production company such as Normaal Animation. My grandfather, Max Fleischer, created Betty Boop as a fun, feisty and fashionable female – and she has proven to be a character for all time. It is extremely gratifying to know that this new television series will introduce Max’s beloved icon to new generations of fans in an engaging, relatable way.”
The title of the series has not yet been revealed. Will your family watch the new Betty Boop series? Tell us what you think.
