What’s This TV Show About?
On Too Close to Home, a small town woman moves to Washington DC to start a new life and join the political scene. Following a major scandal, she retreats to the community and family that she’d been hoping to leave behind. The regular TLC TV series cast includes Danielle Savre, Kelly Sullivan, Brock O’Hurn, Brad Benedict, and Brooke Anne Smith. Courtney Burrell, Azur-De, Nelson Estevez, Angela Rigsby, James Shanklin, KD Aubert, and Crystle Stewart recur. Heather Locklear returns as a guest star.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Too Close to Home averaged a 0.31 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.08 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s up by 62% in the demo and up by 52% in viewers.
As of December 19, 2017, Too Close to Home has been cancelled by TLC.
Could they bring it back for a third season?

Telly’s Take
The first season of Tyler Perry’s Too Close to Home TV show averaged a 0.19 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 713,000 viewers and yet TLC ordered a second season. Since the current season two ratings averages are way up in both measures, it seems highly unlikely TLC will cancel this scripted drama series. Too Close to Home should be renewed for a third season on TLC. Of course, if the ratings plummet, I reserve the right to change my mind.
12/19 update: Despite a sizable increase in the ratings during season two, Too Close to Home has been cancelled by TLC, with no fanfare. Details here.

This was an awesome show! I don’t understand how nor why they cancelled it. Why dio they keep showing reruns if it was such a looser? I wish they would bring it back.

Please bring this show back. It relates to a lot of things that have happened in the past and every body pretends it never happen. I just found the Close to Home series. Didn’t know anything about it. Being an amnesiac finding this series has been a god-send. I find this series better than the Walking Dead, and the Twilight Series, my all time favorites. I find the characters compelling, interesting, complicated and just plain fantastic. The story has not bored me for one second. In fact, I get angry at my TV when the shows are over. I can’t believe you didn’t have a good rating for this series unless it wasn’t publicized well. Too Close to Home should continue
I really enjoyed Too Close to Home. I was sad when the series stopped. I hope it continue.
I think they should bring back to close down it was a really good series but they always take the good ones off the air
Season 3 needs to happen, this show ether than mot of the trash out there. We all want the show to continue. More Brody will make many of us happy. The season file for Season two left me wanting more and more.
