As you may recall, NBC aired the first season of Crossing Lines a couple summers ago. It didn’t perform well enough in the ratings and the network opted not to pick up the second season. Crossing Lines has been a success in the international market however and Netflix recently started streaming season two for US audiences.
Deadline now reports that a third season of 12 episodes has been ordered with Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, Revolution) and Goran Visnjic (ER) joining the cast. They’ll join Donald Sutherland as leads, replacing William Fichtner.
The X-Files’ Frank Spotnitz is joining the show as an executive producer alongside Tandem’s Rola Bauer. Crossing Lines creator and executive producer Ed Bernero departed after Season two to be close to his family in California.
The series shoots in Europe and filming will be getting underway next week in Prague. It’s not known when season three will be available here in the States, via Netflix or some other outlet.
What do you think? Do you like the Crossing Lines TV show? Have you seen the second season? Would you pay to watch the third season?
Really enjoyed the first two seasons. Actually, just finished watching them on netflx. Hope to be able to watch the third season.
I watched both seasons and would like to see it continued
Umm, I just finished S2…hello?! Bring it back, bring back the crew, make it a dream, I don’t care…please don’t let it end that way! I love the show, I love the characters!

I loved season one of Crossing Lines. I was really into season two untill the last episode. I really wasn’t sure what happened to Ava and thought that Louis being shot at the end was
ridiculous. Martin knew she was dangerous and yet he went into her house without backup.
I felt bad about Louis as he was my favorite and would like too see the series continue with the same cast.
love the series – Crossing Lines. Its actually very good. I don’t think NBC gave that show
enough of a chance. My husband and I loved season 1 and 2 and we look forward to
season 3 on Netflix.
I really enjoyed this show when I found it on Netflix. I am sorry they killed off Delione and William is off. I like the other characters but they were tempered by those 2 more experienced characters. Of course, I always love Donald Southerland . they have too many agents killed off from the beginning. Soooooooooooooooo is there really going to be a 3rd season?
Don’t cancel this seris. I love it,! I just discovered it and watched both seaso ns in one week.
Don’t cancel this seris. I love it,!
yes we love crossing lines!!! Season 2 left us wanting more!!!!!
oh I love crossing lines! Please continue this series!!!!
YES!! Please bring on a season 3!!! Friends and I watched season 2 on Netflix and want more!!!!!
I’ve loved the show from the beginning. I’m stoked to hear that there is a season 3 planned but bummed Wm Fitchner will not be a part of it. He is the reason I started to watch initially. Just start working on the contract for season 4!
Really need season 3 to finalize what was left hanging in the final episode of season 2. A really good show with good acting and interesting plots. I love the European flavor given by shooting there. Makes for a good change of pace from the traditional U.S. cop shows which are too boring.
I so agree that we can’t be left hanging! The last show of season two had me screaming at the screen! That can’t be the end! But I also agree that this is a far more interesting cop show than anything we produce in the US.
Yes I have seen both seasons. Loved the show. I am sorry William Fichtner will not be on the show. Yes I would pay to see season 3. I do hope Netflix picks it up.
Love Crossing Lines. Watched the first season on NBC, then found out that Netflix had Season 2 and I was happy. Now I can’t wait for Season 3, hopefully it does not take too long.
