It’s the end of the line for the Dallas TV show — for the second time. TNT has announced that they’ve cancelled the new Dallas TV show after three seasons.
A continuation of the successful CBS series from the 1970s, 80s and 90s, Dallas follows the machinations of two generations of the dysfunctional and powerful Ewing clan. The cast includes Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell, Kuno Becker, and Juan Pablo Di Pace.
Year-to-year, season three of Dallas was down by 26% in viewership and down by 38% in the 18-49 demographic. It’s one of TNT’s lowest-rated scripted series and that certainly wasn’t a good sign for its chances of a fourth season.
In a statement, TNT said, “We are extremely proud of the series, which defied expectations by standing as a worthy continuation of the Ewing saga. We want to thank everyone involved with the show, from the extraordinary cast to the impeccable production team, led by the show’s creative forces, Cynthia Cidre and Mike Robin. We especially want to thank the people of Dallas for their warm and generous hospitality during the production of the series.”
Cidre and the writers have been working on scripts and ideas for a fourth season of Dallas so hopefully she’ll share what would have happened at some point.

Come on I was looking forward to seeing the Ewings again. The show didn’t have a chance to get off the ground and I think the cast was doing a great job. Please bring them back

It’s really unfortunate that Dallas was cancelled. I have been a fan of the series ever since it began. It would be wonderful if someone would bring it back with some of the original cast like Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, and Victoria Principal.

That April Fool article last month could be so true. Would be a perfect restart to the Dallas TV show. Simply stated…TNT in regret and the multitude of Dallas fans have turned the tide. Make this happen, TNT. If not TNT…then someone with class step up and do what all the Dallas fans want. Bring back Dallas!
Dallas should be back on even if it needs to go to another Chanel. I liked it and loved the twisted drama!!

BRING BACK DALLAS!!!! It makes me so angry when a great show is cancelled. But yet some of these stupid reality shows aren’t cancelled.
Call the Dallas cast, the producers, the film crew! Tell them to ramp back up! Tell them you’ve come to your senses and decided to go with all the fans wishes. Tell them the show is back on, renewed…back on TV. Do this and the fans will forgive you. Please do this! Dallas should be on TV again!!!!

I am very disappointed! I kept waiting for the series to return and I found out through the website it was cancelled. I and my family grew up with Dallas so when I heard the series was back I was ecstatic!!! Seeing Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray back (and the others from the original show) and seeing how great they look after all these years I was so happy to see them back! I didn’t have the channels when Dallas was on but have been able to watch on Crave. I’m really upset that it wasn’t on at least another season, as we have been left with a season finale “cliff hanger” and no closure. I think they should have run another season and written the series with a closure and not left fans hanging. Very disappointing.
