The Family Guy TV show has been renewed for a 14th season on FOX. The renewal announcement was slipped into a FOX press release regarding a new hour-long live-action comedy drama series with Seth MacFarlane. That project is still referred to as “Untitled Seth MacFarlane Project.”
Per FOX, the Family Guy TV series has been renewed through the 2016-2017 television season. The voice cast of Family Guy includes: Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Seth Green, Mila Kunis, Mike Henry, Danny Smith, Patrick Warburton, John Viener, Alex Sulkin, and Ralph Garman.

The 2016-2017 run is the 15th season not 14th.
As for the question, how long can it run, I’d be shocked if we had a 20th season. Even though Family Guy has lost its position of FOX’s most watched show on Sunday night for the past two seasons, I can’t imagine FOX will be cancelling it anytime soon. I still think Seth will end it before that happens. My guess it’ll end around Season 17 or 18.
FOX has been inconsistent.
Their press release notes that the current season is season 13 so 2016-17 will be 14. “Seth MacFarlane is familiar to FOX audiences as the creator, executive producer and voice actor on the long-running and Emmy Award-winning animated comedy series FAMILY GUY, currently in its 13th season. The series has been renewed through the 2016-2017 television season.”
Meanwhile, the episodes on their site are labeled as season 14.
