Animal Planet has announced they’ve renewed their documentary series Finding Bigfoot for a third season. That’s a little strange since many sources believe that the show is currently airing its fourth season. Apparently, Animal Planet has their own way of breaking up their episodes.
Here are the details:
THE SEARCH FOR BIGFOOT CONTINUES…
ANIMAL PLANET’S HIT SERIES “FINDING BIGFOOT” RENEWED FOR THIRD SEASON
— Season Two Premieres Delivered 1.2 Million P2+ Viewers —
(New York, New York) – After setting foot in 33 states and five countries, the FINDING BIGFOOT team is still feverishly on the hunt for the elusive Sasquatch. As the evidence continues to mount, investigators Cliff Barackman, James “Bobo” Fay, Ranae Holland and Matt Moneymaker are closer than ever to uncover the truth behind the hairy beast. And with FINDING BIGFOOT hunting down 1.2 M P2+ viewers this season and ranking among Animal Planet’s top three performing series of all time among P25-54 (653K), this hunt isn’t ending any time soon! Today, Animal Planet announces the third-season renewal of the hit series, rolling out with 12 brand new episodes later this fall.
FINDING BIGFOOT continues to find new believers with 41% more W25-54 watching than season one. And in 1Q13, FINDING BIGFOOT helped Animal Planet rank among the top 10 ad-supported cable nets in the 10 PM timeslot based on M25-54 delivery (excluding movies and sports).
FINDING BIGFOOT investigates compelling evidence that may prove the existence of this elusive creature, with a team uses unconventional methodologies and new technologies to lure the creature from behind the shadows to get physical video and/or audio evidence to prove that there is a community of these sasquatches among us! The intrepid cast of investigators – Bigfoot Field Research Organization (BFRO) president Matt Moneymaker, researchers James “Bobo” Fay and Cliff Barackman, and skeptical scientist Ranae Holland – has traveled across the U.S. and followed up on evidence and first-hand eyewitness accounts. Now, the cast continues its international searches and re-visits some of the “squatchier” locations to uncover startling evidence of the mysterious and highly intelligent enigma that has eluded capture for centuries and fascinated man for just as long.
FINDING BIGFOOT is produced for Animal Planet by Ping Pong Productions. Keith Hoffman is the executive producer and Hillary Tholen is associate producer for Animal Planet. Brad Kuhlman and Casey Brumels are executive producers and Chad Hammel is the co-executive producer for Ping Pong Productions.

What do you think? Do you like the series? Will you be watching the new season?
This will be the 3rd Sunday that I will miss “Bigfoot” was sincerely hoping that the show was scheduled for the next 10 years. Not much Masterpiece Theater either, Do not like Junk T V, Too much of that crap scheduled. I do believe that “entertainment” is programmed for the 9-15 Yr. olds.
yes bring it back.number one to me
i believe they are real. but knot from this world.look what happen in erie county erie , pa. years ago. they seen space ships. there.and big foot emerge from them. the government even try to cover it up.were not the only being’s in this universe . come on get real.
I will be watching for sure! I know they are real as I have had a face to face myself, here in our small Southeast Kansas town, and his name is the Noxie Monster.
This show is ridiculous. It should be renamed “SEEKING BIGFOOT” since they have never “found” one and never will. The “team” really is so amaturish that even if there was such a thing as “BIGFOOT” they would never find it. For one thing, they never stay in one area long enough to do real research and even if they did, they don’t know how. I stopped watching this farce.
I agree. It looks like they are on season 9 now ans never found one or even ant real evidence that they exist.
Watched the show since it started. I find it really annoying with the pop up comments. Don’t know if I will continue to watch it. If those were gone, it would be more interesting to watch.
Listen.. Love the show … But.. Need to show some real evidence… Don’t be in it for the fame please… More real live footage.. Not yelling an ********!!
Yes I would be watching but you are not answering any questions. When is it coming back on?
when will finding big foot be back on the air I enjoy watching it which believe big foot is out there but where is the question
I’m from New Zealand. Love the show but am not seeing the new season 9 on Animal Planet. All repeats from previous shows. Will we be getting it. Getting squatchie.
Yes I will be watching. I find it very entertaining.
Yes. we will be watching Finding Bigfoot. This family enjoys the show and hopes that the Animal Planet keeps showing it! Keep it on Sunday nights which is perfect for family viewing. My only complaint is that I wish that the Finding Bigfoot Crew would become even more serious and professional with their search. Viewers do not expect for them to find or hear something every time. We just want tot see them seriously try during their investigations. If they are going to take advantage of today’s modern technology….then use it correctly and have everything they need to do so.… Read more »
Glad show is back on. Range is the skeptic, Bobo the comedian, cliff is the brains, and Matt is the honk. Matt thinks that every coyote howl, loon, owl, and rodent scurrying through the brush is a bigfoot. While I tend to believe they are real, I don’t believe you are close no matter what part of the country they are investigating. Oh, and one more thing, coyote eat Apple’s, berries, insects, pretty much anything food based. Same as most dogs, and here endith the lesson.
I wonder if Renae will run out excuses , to disprove. Some don’t make sense. I agree with another comment , they need to stay in one area for a while , camp out , less people. Are they off till the fall
Look forward to it every week, have watched all the reruns. One of the best shows on tv.
