There’s no need to ponder whether Tyler Perry’s For Better or Worse TV show will be cancelled or renewed for season seven. When OWN renewed the drama for season six, back in January of this year, the cable network made it clear this would be the sitcom’s sixth and final season. Although it is ending, we are still tracking the ratings for a few reasons. Sometimes, networks change their minds and order another season. Also, it’s fun. Finally, the For Better or Worse ratings give us a yardstick by which to measure the performance of other OWN TV series.
A romantic comedy, For Better or Worse centers on a lovesick married couple, Marcus “MJ” Williams Jr. (Michael Jai White) and his wife Angela (Tasha Smith). The rest of the OWN cast includes Brad James, Cocoa Brown, Crystle Stewart, Jason Olive, Kent Faulcon, Brad James, Chandra Currelley, and Kiki Haynes.
Below are the show’s TV ratings, typically the best way to tell if the series will be cancelled or renewed. These figures will be updated as the weeks progress.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The fifth season of For Better or Worse averaged a 0.22 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 719,000 viewers.
