It’s a good start to the weekend for the cast and crew of four of FOX‘s shows. The network has handed down early renewals for New Girl (season four), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (season two), The Mindy Project (season three), and The Following (season three).
FOX has already renewed Bones, The Simpsons, Sleepy Hollow, Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, and Glee for next season. American Dad! has been picked up by TBS.
The fates of Almost Human, Enlisted, Raising Hope, Dads, and Rake are still up in the air. It’s likely that at least a few of them will be cancelled by May.

What do you think? Which of these shows (if any) do you watch?
Almost human Was amazing You can’t cancel it Its literally my favorite show on tv atm
Honestly I’ll be pissed if I find out that the Following got renewed and Almost Human didn’t . Seriously people it is a great show much better than the ones that got renewed. Please Fox renew. Don’t make the same mistake that you made with Firefly.
im way more surprised that sleep hollow even got off the ground, love Almost Human and was fortunate to a week ago get a survey from FOX about the show, obviously gave it extremely high marks!! love the Mindy Project, shes great, and also love Dad’s was shocked i did, then theirs AI, never watched past season 1 or 2, cancel it it just cuts the end off of shows I do watch. I used to love new Girl, this season not so much… raising hop id like to see it hit 100 episodes as well.. but it needs a… Read more »
Please renew Almost human. It is Blade Runner meets Robo cop and is very entertaining.
Almost Human is one of the best shows on TV – it has the air of the cop show with sci-fi and humor mixed in. There are so many avenues to follow and it is much more interesting than many of the renewed shows – hands down – great acting. It’s a keeper!
Almost Human is the one that most deserves to be renewed. It’ll be a shame if it doesn’t.
Almost Human HAS to get renewed! It’s one of the best new shows of the season… I couldn’t believe it when I read “…it’s fate is up in the air…” What the hay-el!!?? The only show in this list that’s just as good (or maybe better) is Bones (Thanks for renewing THAT one already, btw).
Almost Human is one of the best detective shows on television. I Cannot believe they are considering not to renew.
“Edge-of-your-seat thriller THE FOLLOWING”?? Really? I stopped watching this show a couple of weeks ago. I couldn’t take the boredom any longer…..they should have just ended it after Season 1.
I’m glad The Following got picked up. I don’t watch it , but I know a good show when I see one. If Fox is smart they would renew dads. A show like that is cheap to make and the ratings are decent enough it can hang around a few seasons. The best show on Fox right now is Sleepy Hollow and Almost Human. They should pair those shows together on Monday nights from Sep- Jan. That is enough for 20 episodes for both shows and then the Following and Bones can take over in Feb – May. Fox should… Read more »
I could not have said it better. Put Almost human and Sleepy Hollow on the same night. Please renew Almost Human… It is well done
Finally someone says it cancel American Idol Already I mean This show is not worth watching any more I got nothing against Jenifer Lopez but please every since she came to the show it has gone down hill and even thought every one hatted Simon he is what made the show worth watching. Now you are thinking about canceling Almost Human and keeping American Idol PLEASE what a crock ALMOST HUMAN IS WAY BETTER!!! and american idol is not going to get any better it is just going to go down hill but Almost Human will have a strong following… Read more »
My favorite TV shows seem to get the premature axe:
Mystery Science Theater 3000 (admittedly lasted 10 seasons over various networks),
Futurama,
Arrested Development,
Firefly.
Now I’m afraid for Brooklyn Nine Nine because I think it is funny, clever, well-paced and crisply-written. Hooray for Season 2!
Oh my god…what is wrong with these people?? Mindy sucks, her show sucks and she gets renewed? Apparently, she knows the right people, to say the least
Also, New Girl is the worst and, BTW, so is Dad’s. There is no accounting for taste! What is FOX doing?
“There is no accounting for taste!” You do realize people have different tastes and not everyone feels exactly as you feel? If you don’t like a show, fine, but don’t assume because you don’t like it, it’s terrible.
The only one of the renewed shows that I watch is THE FOLLOWING. Yes, it’s gorey at times, but who doesn’t love Kevin Bacon?
I don’t care for any of the 4 picked-up for additional seasons… I would really like Almost Human to get a second season. While I would like to see Raising Hope hit 100 episodes, based on this seasons ratings that’s highly unlikely.
has dads been renewed. i found this showvery funny
