It’s case closed for Franklin & Bash. The TNT buddy-legal series has been cancelled bt the cable channel after four seasons and 40 episodes.
Franklin & Bash revolves around two unconventional lawyers and best friends who end up being hired at a prestigious law firm. This season, they end up running the place. The most recent cast includes Breckin Meyer, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Dana Davis, Kumail Nanjiani, Malcolm McDowell, Reed Diamond, and Toni Trucks.
For whatever reason, the series was way down in season four, averaging 1.16 million viewers and a 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic. That was down more than 45% when compared to season three’s ratings (which were also way down).
In addition, Turner Broadcasting President David Levy has said that the cable channel is now focusing on airing more “edgy” shows — like Legends and Public Morals.
The fourth season finale aired on October 22nd and will end up being the show’s series finale as well.
What do you think? Did you like Franklin & Bash on TNT? Why do you think the ratings fell so dramatically? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fifth season? Would you watch it on another channel?
At least give us a tv movie wrapping up all the unfinished story lines!
I loved this show!! It’s really missing me off that several shows that I watch have been or will be cancelled this season!! This is a great show!! It’s funny and it’s different than all the other crap shows on tv/cable these days!!! TNT shame on you!!! I have been waiting on Franklin and Bash to come back for it seem like forever and now you just cancel it and that’s it! You have no regard for it’s fans and you obviously don’t know a great show if it bit you in the ads! I feel the same way about… Read more »
I can not. Believe they CANCELED this series. Love it !!!!! What s wrong with TNT Bash /Franklin is funniest series and best o e. I love it ,hope Netflex picks it up I elle go there then instead of TNT joan
So…TNT renews it, and then cancels it. At this point will Season 4 of Major Crimes be the final season? Anyways, that aside I loved this show. I wish they had finished it, or at lease release the final episodes, if they ever recorded them.
This was a great show. I think TNT is making a mistake by canceling it. They are going to get to any edgy shows and not have any viewers.
Plz put it back on !!!
This was a great show and was only getting better. If TNT would of had it follow Razzoli and Isles like Perception, I think it would have done much better. Love(d) the characters and even loved Pindar’s replacement. Man was he good. TNT would be wise to stop playing with scheduling and “edgy” shows and give people what they like. It is difficult enough to go off mainstream channels but TNT had something good with these three shows. Please do not give us crap. I can’t believe you dropped Franklin and Bash and kept Major Crimes. Another crime drama without… Read more »

Great show. Watch it in Canada on Much Music. Was hoping it would be renewed at the very least to finish it off.
It was a great show with great characters. I hope it will find another home on another network.
Meh another show we can throw on the Cliffhanger list.
I absolutely loved the show and never missed it. Those two guys had great chemistry and the supporting cast was awesome too. Very disappointed. But Jeez, at least give fans some closure! That freaking cliffhanger – seriously?! They’re just going to leave it there? Very disrespectful of their fan base.
I’m devastated that Franklin and Bash has been cancelled! I love the show and watch it religiously…maybe it should have aired on mainstream TV rather than cable.
I feel at a complete loss 🙁
Another year please…. Bring back Pindar and his girlfriend from season 3
They should do one more season and end it right. It was a good show and brought humor to some serious topics of what is going on in today’s world.
Hard to follow when it was on.
