The first season of Galavant drew low ratings but ABC renewed it for a second season anyway. Will the numbers grow this time around or will they fall lower? Cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.
Galavant revolves around a brave and dashing hero (Joshua Sasse) — who can also sing and dance. Now that he’s discovered the dark side of Madalena (Mallory Jansen), Galavant’s adventures continue as he embarks on an unlikely bromance with King Richard (Timothy Omundson) and fights to rekindle the romance with his true love, Isabella (Karen David). Others in the cast include Vinnie Jones, Luke Youngblood, Ben Presley, Darren Evans, Stanley Townsend, Genevieve Allenbury, Sophie McShera, and Rutger Hauer.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
2/1 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.

For comparisons: The first season of Galavant averaged a 1.32 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 4.83 million viewers.
Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Galavant TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for third season?
Please keep this fantastic, smart, hilarious creative, refreshing, great acted fun show on the air!!! Our family watches together and records on our DVR to replay the songs over and over. We laugh each time. And repeat throughout the week. It brings us joy! That’s not typical with the usual dramas. Even the good comedies can’t compare with the music and lyrics that are smart and funny. My daughter and her high school friends love it and text lyrics when they want to laugh together. Friends who loved Psych and miss it watch for Timothy and enjoy him even more.… Read more »
The first season was fun. Now that the novelty has worn off it is just bad. First he was rescuing a queen from a bad marriage now he is rescuing a soon to be queen from a bad marriage? Recycled plots and thin storylines.
They should have left it at one season.
LOVE this show!!
This show is fantastic. The ratings are just wrong. Keep it going ABC, sometimes things need time to find the audience and the audience to find it. playoff football and all that will beat out most shows so the ratings are not really a true test at this time of the year.
…wow this show sucked
The problem is they refuse to let people watch it online. Like after it ended last year it was taken off Hulu, and now that it’s back its only season two, so if you want to get people into it, it’s impossible for them to find it legally.
This is a great show that might’ve had a chance if they just had put it on Netflix or all seasons on hulu
Wonderful show–funny, creative, with great songs and amazing talent. I fear, however, that the humor is too subtle and intelligent for the vast majority of today’s viewers.
I really hope that ABC renews this show!
So glad to see this disaster bombing.
Galavant was a great way to introduce my wife to British-style comedy – the stuff that, if you aren’t paying very close attention, you’re going to miss it. And I think that’s why it’s not doing very well, ratings-wise. People are too busy with their noses in their phones and tablets to catch the subtle humor this show offers. If people were to just take a break, pay attention to something entertaining, for a change, more people would fall in love with this brilliant show.
I love this show! My husband and I watched it last season and we are enjoying it again this season. It is unlike any other show on primetime television. We love the humor. Season 2, week 3 has been the best so far!
I really hope that they continue Galavant. Great musical numbers, original material, humor, and memorable characters are all represented in this show. I’m glad ABC decided to keep the show.
Love the songs and absolutely love the humour. Very well acted. Such a change from the unimaginative and run-of-the-mill lawyer/detective/political shows. At last a network willing to take the chance to produce original material rather than play it safe. And a show that is aimed at an intelligent audience instead of dumbing down.
Intelligent audiences don’t want the same plot every season.
it’s supposed to be like that, kitchy, badly written plot lines with lots of holes in, witch, we the views can have fun with as do the actors in the show…….by the end of the day I enjoy this just to see Vinnie Jones singing. fantastic show I really enjoyed it myself I hope it gets renewed
I really hope you keep this comedy on, it hits everything, and i like that in this show. Kids really enjoy it, fairy tales laughter, love, drama, no one can hit all of these things like Galavant. Please keep it going. I love watching it with my grand kids, they see it to be a fairy tale, and we need more of this for them, and me. It makes me lol and it just beings joy before they have to go to bed.
I enjoy it is fresh and move comedy. I hope it gets a third season . It is a refreshing new look on tv.
please continue galavant
