Will Goliath get a second season? Deadline reports the new series is Prime Video “top binged first season of a US-produced Amazon original series ever over its first ten days.”
From David E. Kelley, the legal drama stars Billy Bob Thornton as Billy McBride, a washed up lawyer who takes on the major corporate firm he helped create. The cast also includes Maria Bello, William Hurt, Olivia Thirlby, Sarah Wynter, and Molly Parker.
While there are no concrete numbers, Goliath‘s high viewership does suggest a season two renewal might be coming soon. Amazon has not yet commented on the possibility of a second season, but Thornton did say earlier that he’s fine with one season if the show doesn’t get renewed:
Well, we originally thought three years, that would be great. It could go more; it could go less. But if we were told, “OK, you can only have one year, here’s the deal, one year and one year only,” that would have been fine with us. We had a story to tell over eight episodes, and we wanted to tell it and if that gives rise to year two — and we certainly hope it does because we have another to tell behind it — that’s great.”

I stayed up all NIGHT TO watch this show. BEST show I have seen in ages. BRING It back. Who sing so the opening song? I love it. We all will have hell to pay. LOL! But….YES TO A SECOND SEASON.

Best show I have seen in years. Rates up there with Netflix ‘Bloodline’. Actually have watched several times. Love the cast. William Hurt and Billy Bob Thornton are great. Female actress’ great also. So hope for a second season.
Love the show and who doesn’t love Billy Bob Thornton. I got hooked on it and did not want it to end at all. I told a couple friends about it and they got hooked as well. Great story line which kept me hooked and couldn’t wait for the next week showing. Please bring it back.

Best series on Amazon. Have watched it twice. The characters are perfect fits,and I loved Dwight Yoakam in the role. Great singer and great actor. Please bring on season 2.
The best series on Amazon. We like Billy Bob Thornton- looking for something to watch and came across this series, so thought we’d give it try, hooked within minutes. Binged out all weekend on season one, can’t wait for season two. Awesome show….
I was hooked within the first 10 minutes. So disappointed that there are not more episodes. I am holding off with episode 8 as I do not want it to end.
I am one of those that found it late and binge watched the entire 8 episodes! I really hope they bring it back for many more seasons to come. Some of the best acting ever. Superb cast! I’ve told everyone its a must watch show. A+++
Fantastic show. Superb in every way; acting, script, characters and music. Billy Bob is great. So believable. Love to see the little guy take on the giant. Billy Bob was very sexy in this role. Loved the dog too. I’ve got to have more.
