NBC is not grim about Grimm. While it hasn’t yet decided whether to cancel the Grimm TV series after season five or renew it for a season six, NBC’s Entertainment Chair, Robert Greenblatt, sounds more positive than negative about the fate of this fantasy police procedural drama.
Greenblatt spoke to The Oregonian‘s Kristi Turnquist during the TCA winter press tour. As quoted below, it sounds like the Peacock Network is more fond than not of this Friday night fright-fest. Brimming with Wesen-ality, Grimm stars: David Giuntoli, Russel Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Bree Turner, Silas Weir, Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Claire Coffee, and yes, Bitsie Tulloch.

Will “Grimm” be renewed?: The ratings have been down so far in Season 5. When I asked NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt about the show’s future at the recent Television Critics Association Winter 2016 Press Tour, Greenblatt said, “We like ‘Grimm.’ It hasn’t been renewed yet, but it’s a show we love, and it’s actually a big international success for our company.” Greenblatt added, “I think ‘Grimm’ isn’t going anywhere. Which is a hedging sort of statement. We haven’t decided. But we like ‘Grimm.'”
Airing on Fridays, which is traditionally a low viewership night, especially for the advertiser-prized younger segment of viewers, “Grimm” picks up viewers via delayed viewing, Greenblatt said.
“I think the numbers have gone down a little bit because of that,” he said. “But there are some really great ideas for future shows. ‘Grimm”s OK.”
But as Greenblatt said, that’s not a confirmation of renewal, so we’ll have to wait and see.

Holly has a point. The ratings system needs to be updated, with DVR and OnDemand features, lots of people are not viewing live, but at a later time.
Grimm is a good show. Something different and unusual plot twists. Hope it is renewed.

I love Grimm. Don’t like where it’s headed with Nick and Adiline. She destroyed his life and now you want to put him in a romance with him. Please…. I’d rather have Juliette return to normal.

I love Grimm, sometimes you need to look at more than just the number of people actually watcing that night. I don’t have a way to watch it the night it airs. I have to watch it on Hulu and then I might not watch it for a few days later, because I might have the time on Saturday. I have seen every episode since the beginning in one way or another. I would hate to see such an awesome show go down because people are not watching it the night it airs.
This is the best show on tv. It has a loyal fan base. We anxiously wait for the breaks to be over, so we can again see Grimm and the wonderful actors. We cheer when the Wesson are killed, cheer for our heroes, boo the characters who turn to the dark side, gasp with incredulity when someone is killed unexpectedly , clap with glee, when loved characters return . So please do not cancel this show. Thank you Joann G.

I love GRIMM! I started watching when Monroe was a guest on the show “face off” and I have been addicted ever since! I love it! and the characters! PLEASE DON’T CANCEL IT!
