Last season saw a big decline in the demo ratings for Hawaii Five-0. CBS renewed the series for a fifth season and reportedly ordered 25 episodes. Is this a sign that they plan to end the series or could it be renewed for a sixth season if the ratings are strong enough? We’ll have to wait and see.
A reimagining of the original Hawaii Five-0 TV show, this police procedural series revolves around an elite state police task force that fights crime in the 50th state. The series stars Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park, Masi Oka, and Chi McBride.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/11 update: CBS has renewed Hawaii Five-0 for a sixth season.
Final season averages: 1.24 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.48 million total viewers.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
For comparisons: The fourth season of Hawaii Five-0 averaged a 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.71 million total viewers.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the Hawaii Five-0 TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a sixth season?
Love this show; please renew!
PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL HAWAII FIVE O!!!
Please ….. Do not cancel Hawaii five-0, best show ever!
RENEW, RENEW that is two votes one from my husband and one for me. We both enjoy watching Hawaii five o, there aren’t a lot of good shows left. This the blacklist and NCIS are shows that we can’t wait to watch.
DEFINATELY RENEW!!!! The show has great actors who actually keep in shape to make themselves look authentic. Nothing worse then a pretty boy fighting that has no muscles and you know he can’t win the fight.. But somehow he does. It’s an exciting hour of action & great camera shots. They have tried to incorporate the original show’s basic outline & I think they have done a great job! They are competing against so many networks that it must be crazy trying to keep up. I enjoy the relationships and the bond they share. I am 50+ but I don’t… Read more »
Sorry …..move to a different day and time slot!!!!
DO NOT cancel this show!!! If you want ratings to go up move it to a different feat and earlier time slot!!!! This is the best show ever!!!!!!
Keep this show please. I wish you all would let the public decide on keeping or letting shows go. This show has it all. Drama, comedy, family, suspense…….try moving some of these shows to mid week. You put crap in the top slots and shows like TGW on Sunday nights. Try different things instead of canceling. I am a baby boomer and watch shows with a story line, something that has a beginning, middle and end.
Please CBS don’t cancel this show its the best show that has been on CBS in YEARS! PLEASE renew this for at least one more season!. Thank You!.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE KEEP HAWAII FIVE O ON THE AIR!!!!!!!! It is such a great show, funny, action packed, and filled with the most gorgeous scenery God has given us. It is an irreplaceable show. The reasons it gets lower than expected ratings is that it airs on Friday nights when there are less people watching television and the demographic doesn’t include anyone over 50. But the 50+ year old viewers are a lot of the people who have been watching the original show since it first aired and are some of the show’s most loyal fans. My main point… Read more »
Good Show, lots of fun, beautiful scenery, And good stories. Love Alex and the rest of the cast. Please Renew. The 50+ crowd buys more stuff then the 18- 49. So who came up with that demographic anyway? Friday Night it tough and I believe even with those odds Hawaii , and Blue Blood have done very well. Put something else there and Friday will really fall down the tubes. You can duplicate these 2 shows.
I completely agree that CBS will suffer on Friday nights if Blue Bloods and Hawaii Five o are taken off the air. They are great shows that deserve to stay.
Hi from New Zealand, on our TV screen we are currently watching season 4, but! I do keep
up with the latest episodes by watching it through some links.
Love the show, so please renew it for season6 and make us fans happy.
Airing this show on Friday night sucks. High school football rules and wins out . Can’t watch on Fridays miss three months of the show. Every time you switch a show to Friday during football season it sinks to the bottom. Scorpion is great? If it moved to Friday it would surely sink too.
Please CBS, whatever you do, DON’T CANCELL HAWAII FIVE-O. This is the greatest ac
tion-packed series, ever to broadcast on network television. I had the opportunity to meet the cast in person, and they were so sweet, specially Alex O’Loghlin, and GACE PARK, whom i proudly reffer to her as ” MY HAWAIIAN PRINCESS!” HAWAII FIVE-O is a fantastic, and truly spectacular action-trilling tv series! Hope it is renewed for a 6th season. ALOHA and MAHALO, HAWAII FIVE-O.
Wow I am so jealous that you got to meet the cast, I hope I can say the same thing too some day!
It’s sad that the networks target only 18 to 49 year olds. Unfortunately, they are the ones who are rearing their families and cannot afford to purchase all the items advertised on these shows. Target the 50+ people. They’re the ones who can afford to purchase these junk products on the air.
Love Hawaii 5-O. I even watch reruns of the 1960s show.
Those of us OVER (THE HILL) 50+ can and DO support the advertisers. But for some idiotic reason (those in change now are 35 and under) they don’t care about us. Well, not to worry, they’ll get to there soon enough & then THEY can complain that they don’t count. ; )
