Channing Tatum is taking on Eastern Europe. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor is partnering with A24 for a new series titled Iron Fisting.
Set in 1980s Romania, the comedy will be a cop show parody, complete with English dubbing and “two mismatched buddy cops.”
Creators Brian Gatewood and Alex Tanaka are writing the series and producing alongside director Rhys Thomas, A24, and Channing Tatum. Though the show has no actors or network attached yet, Iron Fisting is slated to begin production in Eastern Europe this September.
From A24:
We are absolutely thrilled to be financing this one-of-a-kind project. Brian and Alex have created something funny, fresh and totally unexpected, and we are excited to collaborate with them, Rhys Thomas, Free Association, and of course Channing Tatum.”
